"Like an oase"

Traveller with family, I find this hotel is meet my expectation. The location is good, near mall , hypermarket, Mangga Dua and Ancol. The hotel pool is big and clean also. Stayed in suite, the room is quite large enough for a family. Breakfast is served with good quality as 4 star hotel. Enjoying my stay and would recommend for this hotel.View management response »

We had stay at this hotel for 2 weeks and the only problem we had was they kept wanted to charge us for more, whether it was the food and the room. We ate breakfast at the hotel and my husband (who is american, and im indonesian) ordered fried rice. the price was listed on the menu. After ordering, the waiter came back 2 mins later and told us the price of fried rice went up. I was like, why they didn't change the price on the menu and they claimed they just changed it. It was too early to argue so I let it slide. When we were checking out, the front desk told us they had to charge more. I was pissed because we had booked it here from the US and prepaid the hotel. We were leaving to the airport and the guy insisted we paid more. After arguing for so long, I basically didn't give what he wanted and told him, he better not charge my credit card. Ive noticed in Indonesia, they would charge foreigners a different price for anything. Its outrages!!!! How would they like if we do that to them? The management needs to have a policy about this. its embarrassing and very greedy!!View management response »

Only stayed here for one night and left the next morning so cant comment too much. I thought is was a very average stay though. We paid for a club suite entitling us to club lounge access. The breakfast in the club lounge was absolutely horrible. Breads were dry and hard, eggs tasted off, very little selection ong waiting time for service. The room was big and clean. The pillows were soft and lumpy. Overall a very average stay and was expensive in comparison to other local hotels for the quality of service.View management response »

"Very Good and spacious hotel room"

Hotel is very clean and I got an upgrade room from deluxe to premier which is make my staying was more memorable, very large swimming pool with various menu of breakfast, really look forward to go to this hotel again. Very Recomended......View management response »

It is a nice hotel for business traveling. Good location, reasonable price rate and friendly service. The premier guess rooms at 8 and 9 are with quite good service. Everything is good except the quality of water. If the water quality can be solved, it can be reached the level of 5 star hotel.View management response »

"Really need a lot of improvement"

This was my 2nd stay at Novotel Jakarta. Booked myself and the family in a suite room. The bathroom was moldy...probably no occupant for sometime. We ordered room service on the first night but not delivered at all. When we called after 1 hour, the room service call center was not aware of the order made earlier. Next day went out at 9am and came back around 3pm but the room was not made up. There was no housekeeping until requested. The only positive point was the reception, security and concierge was very hospitable and service was courteous.View management response »

"Nice Place away from Home"

I think I would give this hotel a great rating. Check in was busy but the staff was excellent in attending to me and had me checked in within 10 minutes and upgraded my reservation to club floor. The room was spacious enough and breakfast was decent. The hotel has a great pool and its proximity to the nerve center of Mangga Dua just made it the hotel of choice.View management response »

I find this hotel service generally lower than Accor Bogor Raya as the staff over there are more friendly and hospitable. The twin bedded are too small and the breakfast food at the cafe are lower standard than the other Accor hotels in Bandung and Bogor Raya.View management response »

"Internet is so slow"

Everything is perfect at this hotel.But the only bad thing is that the wifi connection is unstable , slow .Its very frustrating and i had to resort to going to a nearby cafe to get my wifi connection to send out my work emails etc ..View management response »

"Reasonable & Comfortable Stay"

Generally this hotel is alright in terms of cleanness & security. But, it can be improved.I rec'd a free upgrade to the premier floor but my room was just outside the Functions ball room & it was quite noisy & rowdy at night. One of the closest downtown hotels to the airport. Basically the hotel is part of a giant shopping mall with direct access to the shops through the lobby. Check-in was a breeze. I thought I had requested a non-smoking room but we had been allocated a smoking one. I decided to live with this as they had upgraded us. The smell on opening the door was quite overpowering. They need to invent some super room deodoriser. The room was very well fitted out and very comfortable although it was obvious they only expected a sole occupancy as there was only one bath robe and one pair of slippers. Amid the hustle and bustle of the local area and the shopping mall, it was great to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool. This is the largest pool I have seen in a downtown hotel. We could have been a million miles from the outside "mayhem". An enjoyable stay.View management response »

"It's still a good place to stay....."

it was my 2nd time to stay in this hotel. Staff were very hospitable. It was clean though the room my sister stayed in had leaky bathrooms, busted lights, and another minor repair which escapes me now. Location is okay. It is near shopping area, Carrefour, good-enough chinese restaurant. Not so far from the airport, around 30 mins. Would want to try Media though next time. I attended an FIA show. Media provides free shuttle service to the Jakarta International Expo... very important esp when taxi is hard to come by during rush hour. We waited for 2 hrs to get a cab from JIE to Novotel.
