Novotel Le Havre Bassin Vauban: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel is always a pleasure"

10th May 2012, JohanParis, Paris

Stayed with my two young girls from Saturday to a Sunday. Difficult to find parking outside the hotel as the road in front of the hotel was closed. After some searching we managed to get a parking on the quay, just over the street for the hotel. The room was large and comy and in a traditional Novotel style, and with a view towards the harbour. We ate at the restaurant in the evening, no culinary highlight. The kids ate just a part of the kids menu, and my meat dish was okay. Breakfast was real Novotel style, and the kids just love it!

Novotel Le Havre Bassin Vauban: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good hotel for stoppover"

6th April 2012

This is a good hotel for a stoppover if you are travelling. Equally if you have a car and are using Le Havre as a base to explore more attractive areas in Normandy nearby. Le Havre itself is a grimy industrial town and port with the gas works not far down the road. Being a Novotel the rooms are larger than most. The hotel is clean. Breakfast was not quite as well done as in some Novotels we have stayed in before. It's not an attractive place to stay but convenient as opposite the railway station and the hotel itself is fine. It is primarily a business hotel. Service was courteous and efficient. We are french speaking but the Novotel staff would all speak good English were this a concern.

Novotel Le Havre Bassin Vauban: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Le Havre"

15th August 2011, Oundle

Over all not too bad. Food and drink expensive and had to have the bill re written as we were overcharged. Had to wait a while at the bar as the same person was manning the bar as well as the reception. Room very good though and had a good nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was a bit hit and miss as the food was not replaced as it was eaten in the serving dishes. Out of ten an average 6

Novotel Le Havre Bassin Vauban: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice hotel. Good for families with young children."

8th August 2011, Brasilia

We stayed there for one night on our way through to Brittany. The hotel location is very convenient. It's very close to the train station and fairly close to the sea. There is a mall in front of the hotel. The room is brand new, confortable and spacious. Free parking as advertised, helpful and polite staff.

The hotel location is very good. It is front of shopping center. The hotel staff were not so kind. Extra bed was not prepared in advance. I did it by myself. Extra bed was not prepared in advance. I did it by myself.
