In distinct to ALL Etap hotels I've visited this one has amazingly surprised by a tactful room service stuff who never disturbed us while we were at room in order to clean it. The room was cleaned every time we leaved. Thanks!In all _other_ hotels stuff was very annoying - they knock the door till you open even if you have a doorplate "Do not disturb" (I guess they just can not read or do not speak french or english).So congratulations to stuff of this hotel in Limoges!
"24 Hours in LImoges"

We stayed at the Etap in LImoges for one night. Like most Etaps, it did what it said on the tin. The hotel is located close to the station and about a 15 minute walk to the centre. We were greeted by the friendly receptionist on arrival and promptly checked in. The room was as expected, nothing special but clean and spacious enough considering the price we paid. Breakfast was the usual continental fare but being a buffet it was adequate to set ourselves up for the day.

The night was horrible; very noisy with the street below and very hot.Impossible to sleep until very late in the night.My son was so hot that I had to put is bed down on the floor instead of the standard.I do not recommend this old design hotel without air conditioning unless you can have a room on the other side.

Service was acceptable and friendly. However rooms were not as described. The website does not make clear the fact that ALL (confirmed by the manager) of the rooms consist of a combination double bed with bunk over it - that is the format of the double+single bed sold. Having booked the room for accommodating young children the high bunk was totally unsuitable as I would not use that for children less than 7 as a minimum. Secondly the poor quality carpet in the room was slippery with something and smelt badly. Rooms (modular) are also very cramped, do not not be deceived by the website picture. Admitted, the location is good for train travel as it is only 5-10 mins to the train station (Limoges-Benedictins) but otherwise it is not close to the city cnetre, other hotels are a lot nearer. The breakfast buffet was ample though in basic quality room surroundings. Overall, i would not recommend this at all.
