Enough to eat and drink nearby to spend a couple of days. Bar is open until midnight and taxi shuttles to/from the airport are free in one direction. In the other direction, walk 15 minutes to St Louis station and take the 11 for EUR2.50 to the airport

All went well, airport transfer was organised efficiently for 04.00 am. I appreciated that a small breakfast was served to us so early in the morning at 3.45 am.

This hotel is the best choice if you have an early flight in Basel airport. We came from Lucerne then took a train to Basel SBB. From Basel SBB, we took another train then alighted in Saint Louis. From there, it was a straightforward 10-15minute walk. The amenities are basic and appropriate for an overnight stay. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure's good. The receptionists were all friendly and I sincerely appreciate them for lending me one of their adapters. There's free airport shuttle which you have to book when you check in. Our flight was at 755am but we chose to book the shuttle at 415am. We went on a Good Friday in 2024 so most shops were closed. There's a Carrefour near the hotel and a really good shawarma place. This hotel is good value for money.
