"Luxury and class close to Luxemburg centre"

The Sofitel Le Grand Ducal is a very good choice for business or pleasure. It's a healthy 10 minute walk from the centre and Luxemburg shops and very close to the stunning surroundings of the old town. Lovely modern rooms with Ambilight tv, free wifi, bath room with rain shower and Hermes bath products and separate toilet. The breakfast in the top floor restaurant has an enormous luxurious choice of fruits, juices, breads, cheese, bread and meats. Very pleasant staff. The Coco Mango lounge bar on the top floor (adjacent to the restaurant is one of the cities hot spots for drinks. Will definitely book again.Only one flaw: quite loud noises coming from the hotel itself woke us up during the 1st night (garbage trolleys??) and noise from the building site in front of the hotel woke us up on Sunday morning...

"Good Hotel"

Close to airport yet in the Gare area of Luxembourg. Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms were well appointed and clean. I think the prices were a little high but a nice choice non the less, you will not be disappointed

"Great Night Sleep"

The room was fantastic, even despite construction with heavy equipment and machines occurring outside the window of our room. We both slept the entire for the first time in years due to the quiet and comfort the room afforded us.No sound from the hallway was experienced either.The next stay in Luxembourg will again be at this hotel, for certain.

The hotel is located very close to the heart of the city. The staff is very friendly and the hotel and its rooms are modern and spacious. The hotel can provide you with the level of comfort you need. There's a car park nearby. If you're a Le Club Accor-member, you can expect all your benefits to be honoured. This hotel is a very good choice if you want a carefree time in a relaxing enviroment while in Luxembourg.

"Excellent quality"

Sofitel means quality. This hotel is good located, you have a really nice view from the top floor restaurant (or bar). Bar has a very good ambience, it was lively on Saturday evening. Our room was really spacious (luxury), nicely decorated, modern and perfectly clean. Free soft drinks in all rooms. To me the restaurant menu was the only drawback. On Sunday the city is dead, most of the places are closed. Only reduced selection of food is available. This is strange in a 5* hotel. No swimming pool. Otherwise perfect.

"Good location, pleasant service, nice room and massive breakfast"

All round great experience.Positives:1. Nice room with great view2. Good service from all staff - were especially pleased with the desk for getting us a table at a Michelin restaurant for Saturday night at late notice3. Breakfast was huge!Only downside was the time it took to get service at breakfast on a Sunday morning

This Sofitel is incredible because it is located strategically right over the valley and across the beautiful fairytale old town. Interior decor of the hotel is aesthetically hip & young, yet refined & classy, providing all the mod-cons at large. We had a very lovely room with a view to kill, looking right across the beautiful old town, accompanied by a very lovely & spacious state-of-the art bathroom which houses only the wardrobe, tea & coffee facilities, the long black granite vanity, the very generous semi-frosted glass shower stall, and abundance of full length mirrors, even in the shower! The toilet, however, is located in a separate room just by the entrance. Apart from the supply of thick, fluffy towels, bathrobes, and slippers, this hotel is very generous in providing a complimentary minibar which was well stocked with bottles of mineral water, both still & sparkling, fruit juice, and cans of soft drinks. Not to mention that the bed was very well padded and truly comfortable, even by Sofitel reputed standard! Liken to sleeping on the clouds......A very memorable stay.

it's a great hotel to stay, the service is very nice and helpful, the room is clean and spacious.we often come in this hotel for short stays and it is always a pleasure.the only negative point is the prices at the bar, 17 Eur for a glass of wine is a bit expensive.

Stayed here one night. The rooms were modern and very large. The staff was very helpful. It's a little walk to town which is across the bridge. The top floor bar and restaurant were good and a great view. I really like the modern look of the entire hotel. Comparable to a W.

Great Location in Luxembourg. Very comfortable bed. I was jet lagged and slept like a baby. The rooms over looking the valley had an amazing view. Free wifi and free complimentary mini bar (non alcoholic) was very welcoming and thougtful touch.Luxembourg has the MOST expensive Taxis in the world. I paid 35 Euros from LUX airport to hotel for a 7 km ride. I should have taken the BUS16 from airport to the Cental Station (Garre Centraal) and then walked from there or a 0.5 km cab ride.
