"Good location, pleasant service, nice room and massive breakfast"

All round great experience.Positives:1. Nice room with great view2. Good service from all staff - were especially pleased with the desk for getting us a table at a Michelin restaurant for Saturday night at late notice3. Breakfast was huge!Only downside was the time it took to get service at breakfast on a Sunday morning

This Sofitel is incredible because it is located strategically right over the valley and across the beautiful fairytale old town. Interior decor of the hotel is aesthetically hip & young, yet refined & classy, providing all the mod-cons at large. We had a very lovely room with a view to kill, looking right across the beautiful old town, accompanied by a very lovely & spacious state-of-the art bathroom which houses only the wardrobe, tea & coffee facilities, the long black granite vanity, the very generous semi-frosted glass shower stall, and abundance of full length mirrors, even in the shower! The toilet, however, is located in a separate room just by the entrance. Apart from the supply of thick, fluffy towels, bathrobes, and slippers, this hotel is very generous in providing a complimentary minibar which was well stocked with bottles of mineral water, both still & sparkling, fruit juice, and cans of soft drinks. Not to mention that the bed was very well padded and truly comfortable, even by Sofitel reputed standard! Liken to sleeping on the clouds......A very memorable stay.

it's a great hotel to stay, the service is very nice and helpful, the room is clean and spacious.we often come in this hotel for short stays and it is always a pleasure.the only negative point is the prices at the bar, 17 Eur for a glass of wine is a bit expensive.

Stayed here one night. The rooms were modern and very large. The staff was very helpful. It's a little walk to town which is across the bridge. The top floor bar and restaurant were good and a great view. I really like the modern look of the entire hotel. Comparable to a W.

Great Location in Luxembourg. Very comfortable bed. I was jet lagged and slept like a baby. The rooms over looking the valley had an amazing view. Free wifi and free complimentary mini bar (non alcoholic) was very welcoming and thougtful touch.Luxembourg has the MOST expensive Taxis in the world. I paid 35 Euros from LUX airport to hotel for a 7 km ride. I should have taken the BUS16 from airport to the Cental Station (Garre Centraal) and then walked from there or a 0.5 km cab ride.

Hotel was great and the service was exceptional - even when we arrived with bikes on the back of our car the hotel helped us with them and even securely stored them for us. Bed exceptionally comfortable. Good location to explore the city from. Great views from the bar upstairs. As you would expect from a 5 star hotel in Luxemburg, not the cheapest but a great hotel and worth it for a special treat.

Sofitel again provided the base for my stay in Luxembourg. Great reception at the desk, great room and a complementary drink in the bar. That´s a start. The design of the rooms are modern and with a tasteful French touch. Breakfast served top floor and as enjoyable as the stunning wiev of Luxembourg. It comes at a cost, but there is a lot of value in it. I recommend this hotel for your next visit in Luxembourg.

Beautiful view of the old city, everthing in walking distance, contemporary furnished rooms with great SOFITEL beds, expensive but excellent breakfast, whenever I will come to Luxembourg will stay there again.

Somewhat pricy but excellent service and good location to city center. The rooftop bar is a must (be aware though that smoking is allowed so if you cannot stand that, you should probably stay away.) Staff is nice and polite and multi-lingual.

Maybe I would quite exaggerate, because it was our first stay in 5* hotel, but it was simply amazing. Difference between casual 3-4* hotels I know and this luxury hotel was simply too big. We have stayed in privilege room (i.e. 2nd level of pricing), which gave us some few extras - like coffee machine, bathrobes, slippers and better view (maybe also but bigger room), but still - very nice shower in the middle of the room was simply fashion itself and very functional - we enjoyed it a lot. Also cosmetics was good and natural - they use L'Occitane, so dont worry, when you forget your own :) We have ordered Continental breakfast to our bed and service was professional and 1 breakfast was enough for us both. In the meantime we could watch ambilight TV from the bed, which could also play from flash drive via USB. I would personally book Privileged room also next time for sure, I think it is worthy of few more Euros. Unfortunately view was not so nice, because it was very foggy - but not to blame Sofitel for it :-) We have also got some box with nicely packed cookies and voucher to welcome drinks in a bar on 8th floor. It was also very good, but service was slow there. Parking does not belong to Sofitel, there is public paid garage, with entrance right behind the hotel. We have paid about 10 EUR for about 15-16 hours, which was good. Center is about 15 minutes walk over the bridge, receptionist helped us to find our way and gave us a map. Sofitel is also organizing some evenings with music and good food from time to time. If you like to go there for New Years celebration, it is 225 EUR. Enjoy!
"Too hot for comfort"

Lovely hotel in a good location with excellent staff but... The room was much too warm and no cooling available. there were no English TV channels - pretty poor for a 5 star hotel and the bar is horrible because people are allowed to smoke in there and no alternative smoke free area. Time for Sofitel to move into the 21st Century on smoking indoors.
