"VISIT TO SS GREAT BRITAIN"
22nd September 2013
Exellent location with just a 200 yard walk to the ferry across to SS Gt Britain and good restaurants very near. The hotel was fine in every respect looking brand new even though it is 6 years old. Recommended.

Great location, stayed at this Ibis before in the past. always a good experience. Its consistent with the Ibis standard city hotel. Friendly staff. Can be a bit noisy outside at weekends, but it is in a area of bars & restaurants and this is to expected in any major British city centre.Good value location for visiting the sights and flavours of Bristol.View management response »

Business trip using Bristol Ibis as base in centrally sited location. Easy access to historical docks and city-centre. Not far to walk to Temple Meads station, although not advisable with heavy luggae. Friendly and helpful staffView management response »

Lovely to know you will always be greated by friendly staff and most importantly a nice clean room! Compact but never dissappoints. Only comment was the bed was a tad wobbly but by the time we got back it was too late to mention.View management response »

Well this is the place to stay for value and location. The service was fine and housekeeping totally accommodating. We had breakfast in the nearby cafes so were not bothered by the somewhat underwhelming breakfast on offer. The only minute problem was when sitting reading in bed or playing Scrabble like us, the beds slid away from the wall... but I still won. The shower was big in a bijou bathroom. Would choose this Ibis if visiting again,View management response »

"Great Location. Usual Ibis Quality, but wooden floors not good."
16th August 2013, DRPLAD, Maidstone, United Kingdom
The hotel was the usual high quality and value for money, that i have come to expect from the IBIS group. Positioned in a central location. I have stayed her 3 times over the past 2 years. And have always enjoyed my stay (hence returning so often). HOWEVER, 1 thing had changed. The floors in the bedrooms are now wooden. They look great and are obviously great for cleanliness. But there is a reason that hotels don't usually have wooden floors. When a group of high heel wearing people are in the bedroom above. You don't get much sleep.View management response »

"Basic but adequate"
10th August 2013, SpaMike, Leamington Spa
I enjoy staying here (usually). The decor and facilities are uncluttered and simple - no rows and rows of cushions and pillows, no large racks of lotions and potions. The beds have improved a lot recently and are now very comfortable. In the past I had two occasions when the cellular foam mattress was upside down, and of course it was for me to remake the bed at midnight! My recent stay was marred by a lack of milk on the tray in my room and it was irritating that no one was answering the reception phone. I went downstairs late in the evening to try to get milk and found a single member of staff dealing with the restaurant and bar and so not finding time for the phone. He willingly gave me a jug of milk though. Breakfast is adequate though again rather understaffed at peak times and the scrambled egg is usually hard.View management response »

"Another satisfied customer"

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and once again I had a very enjoyable, comfortable visit. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient, the level of cleanliness in the room was very high and the bed super comfortable. The system for holding luggage after checkout is secure and easy to arrange. This makes a big difference if you're not quite ready to go home but don't want to carry suitcases etc around in the meantime. The location makes this an ideal choice for sight-seeing, shopping, dining out etc.View management response »
