Across the street of the hotel you will find Paragon Shopping Center. Next to Paragon there is another place where local people are used to hang out . It is very close to the business district in Semarang.The hotel is clean. The hotel staffs are friendly. As usually we can find in most Novotel hotels. I got room in a level high enough that I can enjoy beautiful night panorama of the city .Jalan Pemuda itself is a major street in Semarang. Hardly ever has traffic jam. Easy access to almost every part of Semarang city .

The location of the hotel close to shopping centres "Mall Paragon", strategic located at the center of the city, good quality hotel (nice rooms & complete facilities), and very comfortable to stays, two thumbs up !

"Novotel Yogya is better"

Service is very good at the entire hotel. Prime location, Paragon Mall is just at the opposite. The bathroom needs better maintenance.

"Overall not so bad"

My husband and I went to Semarang for a wedding. We only intended to stay one night over the weekend. We booked the room a month in advance so we got a pretty good deal; only Rp.371,000,- per night including breakfast. We were pretty happy at that time the booking was made. Unfortunately when we checked in at the hotel, they gave us a smoking room and told us all other non-smoking rooms were fully booked. They also told us that we didn't specify our preferences when we made the booking. Well, the booking was made via the internet, and through the process, not once did it provide us with choices of smoking or non-smoking room. As we only needed to stay the one night, and the rate was more than acceptable, we agreed to the smoking room (what other choice did we have?). In the future Novotel should make sure and include these options in their internet booking facilities to avoid cases like this.Other than coming home with our entire wardrobe smelling like cigarette smoke, the entire experience was okay. The breakfast menu could be improved though, I thought the chicken congee could use more water, instead it looked like overcooked chicken rice. The rate offered was very good, especially when you know the exact date you need to travel. If you booked more than a month in advance, you'll get a special discounted price.The hotel was located in the opposite of a shopping mall, so that's a plus as well.

"Good and Nice service and people this hotel"

last time i spend this holiday with my in laws family from Bandung. In Novotel Semarang we had a great time spend 2 days. the service and the people in the hotel were very nice. thanks Novotel semarang.......hope you keep the good condition and good service.Oh yes....my child is asking about the novotel doll, because in Yogya she get 1 of Novotel's doll. she hoped next time we visit Novotel Semarang, she can get it.Thanks you

very nice hotel the room quite spacious very good for family with children, good quality of services, the hotel surroundings also friendly and lot of restaurants near the hotel if you prefer having meal not in the hotel

bath towel is no all clean, car park is limited and swimming pool is to small.the room is good, clean and comfortable.the location is in down town, near at the biggest mall in Semarang.Is the best hotel in Semarang.

"Great hotel at good location"

I'm glad to stay at Novotel Semarang. As other Novotel hotels, I have no doubt with the service and quality. The room is quite big and clean. The location is really good in the city centre. Shopping mall and restaurants are easily found near the hotel. Some city tourism spots can be reached easily as well within few minutes by walk or drive. The parking area is quite small and limited. I do almost stuck for 15 mins as the parking is full because of wedding reception at that time.

"Good location in Semarang - Capital city of Mid Java"

I stayed at 8 floor city view (the highgest floor). I was very good view especially seing fire work during New Year event.Across the hotel is a new shopping mall this hotel is located at about 1 km to the city central (bussiness district) where we can buy souvenir and enjoy local culinary.

"Suggestion"

I am a chronicle smoker but to sleep, I'd rather to stay at NON smoking room & floor. so, I suggest for Novotel's Semarang to provide for NON smoking floor only (Do not mix with smoker room). Waiter / waitresses should watch at all times of their own guest's tables. Suggest lobby & Citrus free from smokers and the outside / extended Citrus room for smokers with exhaust fan.

"Great place... Great room"

it is the first time that I stay at this hotel. Great room... clean and spacious room :).....They asked me for guarantee by card but forget to open the mini bar. however I am still fine. It is pretty near to a big mall, also some culinary experience here.
