We only stayed one night and picked this hotel as it was considerably cheaper than the many other options in Zurich. The room was small but functional. My gripe is that parking is advertised in the room as one price but the actual price is considerably higher. When I queried this at checkout I was simply and pointedly told that the price in the room "is an old price and out of date". This is not good enough Mecure, if literature is out of date get rid of it! I think the difference was about 12 Swiss francs so not a small sum. Zurich is expensive and the hotel (apart from inflated incorrectly published overpriced parking) was considerably cheaper than the alternatives.
I loved staying at the Stoller. The location was great, it's an easy walk into the city if you have time or the tram is literally at the front door. There are great restaurants nearby and supermarkets. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was brilliant, it was at the back of the hotel and extremely quiet. The bed was very comfortable and I even had a balcony. The breakfast was well worth it. Very extensive. I loved the waffles. The touch of free chocolates, apples and water in the reception area was wonderful. I just wished the 'coffee' machine had hot chocolate pods as I don't drink tea or coffee. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay while in Zurich.
Overall a great place to stay. It is not right in city centre but one can easily get to the city centre by tram. It is in a very convenient spot and is still very centrally located. The staff at the reception and the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to others without reservation.
We stay at Mercure Stoller Zurich for 2 nights and very happy with the service, facility and excellent breakfast! The room is clean, sheet is white and so are the towels. The sleep quality is very good. The gentleman at the reception is really friendly, warm and always cheerful. The location is not far from train station and easy to reach, take tram no 3 in direction of Albisrieden and stop at Albisriederplatz. You can spot the hotel from bus stop. We strongly recommend this hotel for your stay at Zurich.
Great little hotel. A little out of town but easily accessible by the public transport. Situated in a nice little square with many eateries nearby and a supermarket. The hotel supplies free coffee, tea, water, fruits and chocolates for all guests in the lobby and the room has a tea and coffee machine! (think Nespresso-type machine) Had a nice room on the ground level that had a balcony overlooking the back of the hotel which was great (even in 2 degrees C weather).
The room was small but very clean and well equipped, modern. A bonus was a sunny balcony although no chairs were provided - perhaps too late in the season. On bus route - Zurich's bus system is excellent so there is no problem getting around the city. The attached restaurant is very good. Parking space is limited.
