First time staying at this particular hotel on a Friday night. Great room with a lovely view, hard to say in a town centre hotel most of the time.Only downfall if there was one, the cooling / heating in the room. There wasn't much to speak of. Even after being on at both extremes for a couple of hours, the change in temperature was unnoticed.

Very central location.Hotel car park hard to locate due to one way system and bus only area around the station,Also tiny spaces so parking can be a problem unless you have a small car.All the staff very friendly and helpful.Late check out promotion on the Sunday (5pm) meant we could have a more leisurely day and breakfast was available until 12 o'clock.

"Stress-free, quality and comfortable"

The staff are really friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast spread is lovely. Short walk to the Oracle for shopping and very close to transport (buses and trains).

I've been in differents Novotel and Ibis because I work for the company and I need to tell you this is one of the best hotel from ACCOR . The waiters and receptionists were very kindly to us.although there isn't too many things to do in reading the building is in the center which is very nice for the customers. I took breakfast but I was so full that I couldn't have lunch. Congratulations!! You are doing very well!!

"The only place to stay in Reading:)"

The hotel is great!!!! Brill location,really clean and the staff were very helpful.The only let down was we didn't have tea and coffee supplies!!!! I'm a huge coffee fun:) so was a bit of a let down to wake up to decaff :(!!!!However I do recommend it and I'll surely stay there again :).

"Enjoyable visit to Reading."

Hotel convenient for the town centre, and the staff were polite and efficient. An enjoyable stay. Clean room, warm, and quiet. Lots of snow, but no impact on our stay. Have to write 200 characters worth.

"Excellent location but service could have been better"

There was a bit of a mix up at reception when I first arrived and actually signed up as someone else,I did not have my glasses on so just took it for granted she had the right reservation, this could have been a real disaster if the receptionist had not asked me if I wanted to book breakfast. Upon closer inspection at this point, it transpired she had misheard my name and pulled up someone else's record. The pool does not have a kids section and the water was not very warm, however everything was spotless and the bathroom had a lovely separate shower with a great massage showerhead, though the compromise was a smaller bathtub.

A very well located hotel offering excellent value for money and a high level of service. Close to all facilities and the train station. Good pool / sauna / gym complex. al very clean and tidy and very polite staff.

"Upgrade.....!!"

I live in Reading but on accaision that I decide to stay here it feels like I am away for real. I absolutely love this hotel and would always recommend it to anyone who travels on business or pleasure. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are always very polite, professional and willing to make your stay a welcome one. We were offered an upgrade for a small extra price and it was excellent even though there were a few errors in the room.... there was no coffee for the espresso machine, no tissues etc in the bathroom and the mini bar had not been stocked after the last guest. Once the issues had been taken up with reception we were sincerely apologised to and offered to take breakfast on the hotel. The stay would have been 100% if the room had of been prepared to the usual standards that are always set.I will go again and reccomend the weekend upgrade to anyone...Darren..... Reading.....!

"Excellent hotel"

Love this hotel. Have stayed here a number of times. Staff always friendy and efficient. Rooms exceptionally clean and comfortable and have lots of toiletries. Breakfast buffet always fresh and wide selection. Hotel is in a convenient location just 5 minutes walk from railway station and Railair coach to Heathrow - takes about 40 minutes to Terminal 5.

staff was very helpful and friendly but parking is a bit restricted. Luckily they have a deal with the NCP carpark just behind the hotel. Great location for the station and town centre.We stayed in this hotel for the Reading festival which is only 15 minutes away on foot.
