Bath room, breakfast, bed are nice.Room itself is little bit tasteless. one of the elevater's door did not work well. Door repeated open and close at least three times. I was afraid that I was traped in elevater.

ibis Reading Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "good"

25th April 2012, brockKang, Seoul

The hotel was clean. I had a good time. One thing I would like to mention is that every breakfast was same. However, the bread and fruits are fresh and delicous. I loved them!

Great Hotel for those visitors on a Budget. Fantastic Location in the centre of Reading and close to the Motorway and Rail Networks.Ample choice for Breakfast. Bedrooms nice and clean. Good Internet access and Movie choice in the Bedrooms. Can't really fault this Hotel due to its nature, it is a 'budget' hotel and for what you get it's second to none!

ibis Reading Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis is consistent across"

10th April 2012, PaulTudorOprea, Glasgow, United Kingdom

Just what I expected - the same standard quality of service and rooms.I've been in a lot of Ibis hotels in various countries and in the UK.For its price range it's very adequate and predictable - a bit like McDonald's - when you're not in the mood for experiments you stick to what you've known to be working.

ibis Reading Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Stay at IBIS Reading Centre"

16th March 2012, Amman

Hotel is located very closely to Reading Centre, that makes it a great stay for a first timer in Reading.Service is alright, although I had a wake up call at 3 am instead of 8 am which was weird! My accompanying friend had a refuse to help re-charging a phone card!Rooms are a bit tight. There is no free wi-fi! We're in the 21st Century so I think it's an idea to think about having that.Other than that it was a good 7 days stay.

ibis Reading Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Cheap and Very Cheerful"

13th March 2012, ricke17

I have stayed in the Ibis Hotel, Reading 4-5 times this year. I chose it as it was cheap and ideally located in Central Reading.Unlike most hotels, you can check in at midday and check out at midday the following day. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and contains an en suite shower room, TV (with very limited channels) and telephone and access to either WiFi (not free) or Ethernet Internet (not free). The room contains a generous sized double bed. You're provided with tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. Extra sheets and pillows are also provided. There is a small wardrobe (built in) with various shelves. Food is available 24hrs (although after 10pm there is a limited menu available) which is reasonably priced. The room has a telephone too. There are plenty of wall sockets to plug in mobile phone chargers etc.I paid initially £39 for a night which has now gone up to £45. But even so this is very reasonable.I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a cheap yet comfortable stay in Central Reading. The only negative things are that the walls are paper thin and you can hear people taking a shower or flushing the toilet. Also the bed is pretty hard and uncomfortable but that is bearable.

An above standard Ibis hotel located in central Reading, only 5 Mins walk from the railway station. The hotel is very clean and the staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast was reasonable with a choice of hot and cold fare.

ibis Reading Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Basic, clean, reasonable, but strange bathroom."

2nd February 2012, T G, Basildon, United Kingdom

Reasonable deal for short notice. Staff helpful and efficient. Room basic but clean and bed comfortable. Not too facing noisy even though facing street. Good curtains. Kettle and tean and coffee. Great location for Reading centre, shops, stn, and night life. Parking is £10 per ight extra though!Shower cubicle/toilet very cramped and had a step up into it, just bit of the room sort of cordoned off by this cabin like affair...very strange, but ok for us as able bodied. Be difficult for anyone disabled, elderly or larger than average to use.

ibis Reading Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "A lot of noise and cleaners who ignore your requests not to come in"

27th January 2012, Exeter, United Kingdom

This hotel is first rate on cleanliness and hygiene. Location superb and generally no problems with facilities. Two major issues that I had to ring to complain to reception.i) Plenty of noise late at night (up to 3.30am). Admittedly this was a Friday night in a city centre hotel - but it exceeded our tolerance!ii) Cleaners who knock on door at 9.30am Saturday AM - you ask them to wait, they knock again, you shout to ask them to wait, they knock again and again and finally they open the door. Why? Why knock so many times and then enter the room? I literally had to scream to shut the door. I found this very odd behaviour. Why knock 6 times and then enter? I mentioned both of these items in a call to reception but did not receive any communication back from them.A good, cheap, clean hotel marred by poor cleaning staff and noisy other guests

Management responseDear GuestI am very sorry to hear of the disturbance you experienced as a result of the inconsiderate behavior of other guests in the hotel; and I can certainly understand the distress caused to you. We promise our guests a good night’s rest and I apologize that we failed in this instance. On this occasion should have told the guests to leave much earlier.I was disappointed to read your comment sbaout the Housekeeping staff. Please be assured that the housekeeping team have been re-trained on how to handle such a situation.Thank you once again for your feedback, which is invaluable in our efforts to assess and continually improve upon the quality of our service. I hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Ibis and better meeting your expectations in the future.Anne Dubruille,General Manager

ibis Reading Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "review"

13th September 2011, Wien

Besides a fire alarm at 11pm where the staff seemed to be not well organised, services was okay.Cost/performance ration is good, especially for this location (1min walk to downtown, 3min walk to train/bus station) but unfortunately there is no free internet in the rooms.

Management responseDear Sir/MadamThank you for your feedback received following your recent stay at our hotel.Fire regulations are of great importance for Ibis hotels. In case of a fire drill, even if the fire alarm has been set off falsely, we take necessary precautions. You will be pleased to know that on purchasing your broadband package online, it comes at the reduced price of £7.50, instead of £9.99I hope you will find this helpful, should you stay in another Ibis hotel in the UK.Yours sincerelyAnne DubruilleGeneral Manager.

ibis Reading Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Town Visit"

28th August 2011, Ascot, United Kingdom

Great location, excellent value for money however as a result of great value accomodation, no room service. The beds are TERRIBLE!!! Hard as a rock. Rubber mattress on top of a sheet of chip board. Very budget bed. A big turn off for us as my wife suffers from a bad neck and it took 4 days to get it right again!!
