"Top Hotel"

This is a very stylish hotel in a great location, being next to the train station and very close to restaurants and shopping. The staff are very helpful and all speak fluent english. I would definitely stay here again.

"Need to use the railway service? Ideal location, good overall service"
11th January 2013, AnaImperio, Sao Paulo, Brazil
Hotel, accommodation and services are very good... Bedrooms extremely comfortable and well-equipped. with details that one would only find in very exclusive hotels... For those who want to use the railway station the location is very good. Otherwise, it is quite removed from the most interesting parts of Munich

"Disappointing - style over substance"
9th January 2013, astonmartinv8, astonmartinv8
On arrival we had to ask for our platinum amenities and we were not offered them. We found the hotel room (duplex suite) incredibly cramped. There is simply too much furniture in the room and the layout is also very impractical. For example, the room is on two levels with a sitting room downstairs and bedroom / bathroom upstairs. There is no space upstairs to keep your clothes so you have to go up and downstairs to get dressed. It was also difficult to regulate the temperature. The ipod dock to the Bose player was broken and the upstairs remote control had no battery in it (both fixed when reported). I paid something like EUR30 for the premium internet but then found (by chance) that whilst I had been charged, I was not receiving it. Again, they did remedy this upon request. My wife and I felt the bar was a little souless and overall the hotel had more style than substance, but not a great deal of either.
"excellent"

Excellent hotel for a fair price. Good architecture, nice room, spacious spa with some really nice attractions. The only disadvantage: the extremely expensive breakfast. Better go to the nearby railway station or (a bit far) to the cafe Rischart at Marienplatz.

Beforehand I requested twin bed room,it was OK,but no bathtub only shower. It was disappointed me very much.Last time I stayed your hotel was mid summer and it was no problem for us,but this time was midwinter we want to sink in bathtub for minutes.

As with all Sofitel Hotels: clean, understated service, excellent beds and pillows - making for restful sleep.A good location from which to explore Munich's centre. Excellent location for using the main railway station.Priced about right for all what you get.
"Great Location and look that's let down slightly."

I stayed here for my birthday 16th-18th November 2012, mainly because of great reviews on Trip Advisor. The location is really convenient as the train station is a 30 second walk (although not the nicest area of Munich) and we hopped on and off the Subway two stops to Marienplatz frequently. The rooms are very nicely appointed with proper blackout curtains and the bed was amazingly comfy so I slept brilliantly. One small gripe about the room was the design of the bathroom - it has a window through to the bedroom and glass sliding doors. It would be fine for one person but for two it doesn't afford much privacy...My only other negative was they didn't service the room in the 7 hours we were out during the day but when I mentioned it they came whilst we were out in the evening. I would recommend the hotel to couples and small groups.
