Novotel Karlsruhe City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Service with a smile"

15th February 2012, karmac21, Beverley, United Kingdom

Having spent a nightmare 10 hour journey traveling from Italy it was a wonderful receptionist who met us and saw to all our requirements. The hotel was spotless as were the rooms. A minor mishap with my shaver cord in the morning resulting in the cord being stuck in the plug. The receptionist on duty assured us aswe left the she would sort the problem and ring me when we got back to the UK. True to her word she did and the shaver cable has now been returned to me intact. I look forward to my next trip to this great hotel. Highly recommened.

Novotel Karlsruhe City: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Ski stopover"

14th February 2012

We use this hotel every year as a stopover on our way down to Austria to ski. The rooms are clean, beds comfy, lots of hot water for a bath. It's quiet so had a good nights sleep. The breakfast was great. Lovely start to the holiday. Got in the car for the final 3 hour journey well rested.

This is my 6th visit to the Novotel Karlsruhe, and it wont be my last!!IIt is situated in an ideal location to the city centre of Karlsruhe, one can either walk or take the tram (only two stops)The staff are professional and friendly. the accommodation is of a high standard.

Novotel Karlsruhe City: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Novotel Karlsruhe"

7th December 2010, Nederweert

Like:- Good location- Friendly staff- Decent restaurant but the cook uses too much salt on most dishes.- Plenty space in parking garageDislike:- Strange habit of providing 2 too small single feather beds on a double bed. I have seen this in several German hotels. One big feather bed is much more comfortable.- Matras too hard.- Over priced breakfast, as in most hotels.- Over priced bar, again as in most hotels.- Having to fill in a form and sign for breakfast every morning while I made a room reservation with breakfast.

Novotel Karlsruhe City: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Lovely modern hotel in the heart of Karlsruhe"

15th November 2010, Hellojed, Dublin, Ireland

My husband and I stayed one night at the Novotel Karlsruhe on a Saturday. The hotel is extremely central and in a very attractive location of the city. Our room was much bigger than we are used to and an ultra modern decor which we really loved. Unfortunately the mattress was a little hard and my husband had a sore back the next day, but that may have been a matter of personal taste. We didn't try the restaurant and the breakfast was too expensive for our tastes, but the hotel bar mirrors the modern, minimalist theme of the hotel with very friendly staff. On Sunday we were given a late check out option (to 5pm) which we welcomed. The staff we encountered were friendly and efficient except one person who did not seem very experienced. The parking is 16 euro a night which I note that some reviewers found expensive, but it was secure and well lit.I would not hesitate to return to the hotel, especially in the spring and/or summer as there is a terrace outside the bar and restaurant, which overlooks two fountains.
