"Pack a banana next time!"

Requested in writing "Quiet non-smoker" but had to struggle at reception to get. Same applied to "the surprise"!Seven people in restaurant (inc. us) on evening of April 12: took one hour to serve "simple" food/drink we ordered. Waitress troubled by our request and tended to disappear from our area. Watery tomato soup had to be sent back as unacceptable. No further evening meals taken. English version of menu full of errors.On the other hand, breakfast very good and bar staff efficient.
"Efficient and Convenient"

The hotel, which was located just across the road from the convention center turned out to be an extremely efficient and equally comfortable hotel. As a frequent traveler my needs tend to focus on the functionality of the hotel rather than any luxuries or unnecessary additions. The Mercure Hotel Hamburg an der Messe met my needs and proved to be a pleasant place to stay. The bathroom was well equipped with a standup shower, and sufficient space for my "stuff". The bed was large and comfortable and even though I was on the second floor overlooking a very busy intersection, the soundproofing was excellent with only a very faint hum from the traffic below. The staff were considerate, helpful and efficient. The buffet breakfast was satisfying with a varied choice of dishes. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Not really located in the center of Hamburg but it is sufficient for one night and there is a metro not far away. Very good quality of the room and the service (no surprise, "mercure quality") and good breakfast.

Location is great it is close to most things, Hamburg pass a great thing and organised by Mecure. Staff very friendly and helpful. As a T12 paraplegic I found the bathroom was excellent for my disability. Food was great but not cheap. Only downside I see with this property is that there are no English speaking TV stations, not even CNN, Sky or BBC.

A few minutes walk away from exhibition centre. Staff very friendly and helpful . Dinner & breakfast very pleasant . Room nicely furnished and comfortable bed. Expensive as exhibition on, only negative

Good Hotel at a very convenient location. I have stayed in the hotel quite frequently and will use it again when convenient.
