"Third stay - great as usual"

It's the third time I have stayed here, and everything was perfect as usual. Clean and tidy room and bathroom, and a sea view from some rooms on higher floors. Lovely buffet breakfast - try to get a deal including breakfast - it;'s really good value then.Recently renovated, air-conditioning quiet and efficient, although you will hear the wind on upper floors whne a strong wind blows off the North Sea.Ideal for visiting both Den Haag and Scheveningen whci can be reached by tram or about 30 minutes walking.

The hotel was very good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. My room was spacious with a good view across den Haag. Absolutely perfect for the court or World Forum. If you're going to Shell head office or the Europol office then it may be easier to stay in Novotel Den Haag centre, which is also nice.

The hotel is general very good in terms of location, room service, staff approach, etc. The TV service leaves much to be desired. CNN and BCC were eliminated during my stay with the excuse that the provider eliminated them. Those were the only two English channels; I felt isolated indeed as all other channels broadcast in Duch or Persian. This needs to be corrected. Also, I did not understand why the Restaurant was not operational. I learned that it is actually owned by the World Forum and it normally does not operate during the summer period. This is amazing indeed.

Problems encountered : windows leaking, room service announced 30mn for 2 sandwiches at 3pm, electricity failure on 14th July (can happen but no compensation offered), reception tried to over charge breakfasts included in rate.However, personnel were polite, helpful and maintenance very quick to come for the window problem that seems to be structural. Something has to be done about that!!
