"World Forum Den Haag"
4th September 2013, Colchester
Location of hotel is positive. Easy reach of Scheveningen and Den Haag centre, especially by tram. Quality of rooms is excellent following upgrade. Breakfast quality is good and should be so for the price.Restaurant staff are extremely helpful but I always have problems with the bill/invoicing on check out and the quality of towels in the hotel are very poor for such a facility. Avoid rooms on the corridors when the Rugby teams are staying as the teams behaviour is not good. That's not the hotel's fault though. Would always be a first choice stay in Den Haag.
"As usual, an excellent stay"

You know what to expect with Novotel and it doesn't disappoint. This hotel is a bit out of the way for the city centre, but perfect for my needs. OK, it's a chain, but it has some nice little touches - apples and sweets on the counter - and the food is really good. I go regularly to The Hague on business and wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is a little annoying that they charge for parking, but I usually manage to park on the street.View management response »
Management responseDear Guest,Thank you very much for your positive review on tripadvisor. I am pleased to read that the little things do count. I am glad to hear you can often park your car on the street, unfortunately the parking is not ours. Hopefully we can welcome you again soon. Kind regards,Krijn Taat
"Good location - halfway between city center and beach"
26th July 2012, atomde, Ratingen
The first impression when arriving at the hotel was not the best, kind of an ugly complex from the 70's or early 80's. Inside though a nice modern clean atmosphere. The person at reception was very friendly and assigned a nice room on one of the higher floors with a nice view. One could even see the north sea. Room as well very nice, must have been recently renovated and did not have the flair at all of an "old" Novotel. Bathroom very modern, and none of the "old" plastic touch. Nespresso machine in the room, comfortable bed, it was a little bite better than what you typically get at a 4 star business hotel. Only disappointment, the Sauna costs extra which is not clearly stated in the hotel description. Did not take the breaktfast as at 19 EUR found this priced too high. Parking at 15 EUR a night is what you typicall would expect. Otherwhise at 120 EUR for a night a good price / value ratio. Would go there again.
"Very good - but perhaps not for "Romantic Breaks""
23rd July 2012, vonRella, Cologne, Germany
The hotel is spotless, the beds are excellent, and the rooms are very well appointed. My only gripe was that the WiFi Internet Connection was very slow which left me no choice but to pay for the wired alternative which was adequate. This is a Conference Centre Hotel and as there wasn't a conference going on at the time of my stay the ambience was a bit soulless. If you have an event at the World Forum, or if your business takes you to The Hague, this is perfect, but if you're taking your partner on a weekend break away you may perhaps opt for somewhere with a little more charm and intimacy.
"Third stay - great as usual"
21st May 2012, Northernlass481, Warrington, United Kingdom
It's the third time I have stayed here, and everything was perfect as usual. Clean and tidy room and bathroom, and a sea view from some rooms on higher floors. Lovely buffet breakfast - try to get a deal including breakfast - it;'s really good value then.Recently renovated, air-conditioning quiet and efficient, although you will hear the wind on upper floors whne a strong wind blows off the North Sea.Ideal for visiting both Den Haag and Scheveningen whci can be reached by tram or about 30 minutes walking.
"Novotel World Forum"

The hotel was very good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. My room was spacious with a good view across den Haag. Absolutely perfect for the court or World Forum. If you're going to Shell head office or the Europol office then it may be easier to stay in Novotel Den Haag centre, which is also nice.

The hotel is general very good in terms of location, room service, staff approach, etc. The TV service leaves much to be desired. CNN and BCC were eliminated during my stay with the excuse that the provider eliminated them. Those were the only two English channels; I felt isolated indeed as all other channels broadcast in Duch or Persian. This needs to be corrected. Also, I did not understand why the Restaurant was not operational. I learned that it is actually owned by the World Forum and it normally does not operate during the summer period. This is amazing indeed.

Problems encountered : windows leaking, room service announced 30mn for 2 sandwiches at 3pm, electricity failure on 14th July (can happen but no compensation offered), reception tried to over charge breakfasts included in rate. However, personnel were polite, helpful and maintenance very quick to come for the window problem that seems to be structural. Something has to be done about that!!
