"Good Business Hotel at the center of Freiburg"

Very good Location, rooms are a bit tiny but sufficient for a few days or a weekend. Extensive Breakfast, internet speed ok ( videos do buffer a lot), has a tiny pool,good for a dip but not for a serious swim :) . Best value if you book the business package with the room, well in advance. Last minute rates tends to be a bit expensive. The carpets in the room do not look very clean (the hotel could do with new carpets). The railway station is opp the hotel, so very easy to catch the fast trains into Basel or Frankfurt. Also a very good start/end point of a blank forest vacation.
"Problems with reservations"

The hotel and staff were very friendly however when I made my reservation I entered in all the card details and on the section 'please add notes' I mentioned that the card holder would not be present (as it was a business trip). The hotel did not contact me about regarding the fact that the card holder would not be present. But on the departure day I had a call from my colleague as the hotel wanted to see the card that made the booking, I then had to fax through all the details. If the hotel had informed me of this before (after I had already informed them that the card would not be present) then I would have submitted these details before my colleague stay. Better organisation from the hotel is needed.

Location is very Good, Room is Clean & Airconditioned,The staff is friendly,and Breakfast is Fantastic, not only cold food but there is many warm food.Totaly I am satisfied and recommend this Hotel, Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthaus/Bahnhof.

Very clean and well managed, friendly staff, next to the train station. It's our second time staying there and we would do it again and again and again. Hopefully, to stay there for more than one night so that we can visit the very nice city.

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night, we received free welcome drinks (anything you wanted), meals in the restaurant were excellent. Hotel in a great location and friendly welcoming staff. Highly recommended to stay.

Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthaus is an elegant 4-star hotel, which is located a stone throw away from the Freiburg (Bresigau) Hauptbahnhof (Central Railway Station). It is located right next to the Konzerhaus (Opera House) and is the Altstadt (Old Town) is easily accessible by walk from the hotel. All the sights of the Old Town are therefore within walking distance from the hotel. Public Transportation (trams) are easily accessible as the Hauptbahnhof station is almost directly opposite the hotel. The hotel have very efficient staff and even though the checkin time is 15:00, I got an early checkin at 11:30 as a room was available. Appreciated the gesture from the reception staff. Since I was travelling alone, I had taken a single room, which felt a little cramped compared to other Novotel Hotels. Probably should have taken one with a queen bed which would have been a little larger. But there was no discomfort in sleeping and had a good night's sleep on the single bed. Didnt want to upgrade my room as I would stay for only one day/night; most of which would be spent outside sightseeing. The bathroom was spacious and equipped with required amneties.The hotel has a restaurant which has indoor and outdoor seating and indoor seating has great decor. The food is not at all expensive and is quite tasty. One issue was that drinks from the bar were not available on the restaurant menu, but the waitress was kind enough to get my drinks from the bar. The bar itself is quite elegant and has a variety of drinks and cocktails.The lobby area is excellent and even has a small play area with video games for kids, though I saw more adults playing there. You can store your luggage in the luggage room near reception after your checkout if your train / flight is late in the evening. I finished my sighseeing on the second day early and came back to the hotel and had my lunch. Since there was still time for my train back to Frankfurt, I had a short nap in the lobby itself. The hotel staff were kind enough to not throw me out while I slept there. It was very refreshing and I was able to travel back in high spirits and not tired.Didnt have much time to visit the pool and spa area; so cant comment much on that. But this is a hotel I would definitely recommend for Business and Leisure and I hope I have a chance to come back for a longer stay in this delightful hotel with delightful people.

Stayed for one night, the room was standard Novotel, clean, well equipt and in keeping with hotel classification. The hotel is well located, only 5 minutes from the old quarter with plenty of bars/restaurants nearby. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel (I think it was quoted as €18 per person) as there are plenty of places for breakfast closeby, and cheaper! We did have a late night drink in the bar which was relaxing and the staff we're attentive.

Only stayed one night for business travel but this was convenient. Close to trains and the old part of town. Room was up to date and comfortable, breakfast was good and had variety. Parking wasn't exactly self explanatory but convenient enough once the entrance was found. My only knock on service was a very slow check out which is not good when you are trying to get out for a meeting, leave yourself some time.

We also used this Novotel last year at the same time to visit the Christmas Markets. Very typical Novotel, Clean, spacious rooms, good location (5 minutes walking to access the center of town). Overall good value. The staff were also very helpful.

"Novotel Freiburg"

A good hotel with nice spacious bedrooms. Very convenient for the train station. The breakfast had a good range of food. The staff provided a good positive service. My only request would be for an iron and ironing board to be available in the bedroom. I will definitely stay at the hotel again on my next visit to Freiburg.
