The staff were very helpful and understanding. The hotel has lovely big rooms, drinks like water and coffee always available. A good bar and good breakfast. No publishing with my n. at all.

Not what I expected

Needed to stay one night close to the HBF. Room was freezing cold, radiators dusty (literally took all night to warm), small bugs were flying in the room. Only good was its location.

Well located but not too comfy

The location is hard to beat, the hotel is 5 min walk from the central train station, but there’s nothing more to add on the comfort side. Our stay fell on the unusually hot days in April, and the air conditioning was not functioning: at night the air in the room was hot and humid. When we reported this to the management, their reply was “it became hot too soon, we didn’t have time to bring the air conditioning to summer mode”.

Dear Mr. V., I am sorry that you were unable to have a restful night, and I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused. Unfortunately, our air conditioning system, which happens to be used in most hotels, continues to reach its technical limits and allows individual adjustments within a limited range only. I assure you that we are currently consulting specialists to find a solution that will leave our guests completely satisfied. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest and I would like to thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf City Center. We hope to welcome you as our guest again.
