"Good location and nice room"

The location is very close to the Westbahnhof, and very convenience to us. The room is small, but it looks very nice, and clean, and compare with the room in Prague, this room is much much better.

I found the three staff members I came into contact with, on my one night stay very rude and abrupt starting from Sunil at reception and especially the lady at the reception on the 5th morning whose name I did not note, when I could not clearly see into which door I HAD TO ENTER TO PLACE THE LEFT LUGGAGE, which was round the corner from reception, stated"It says luggage on the door so it has to be' this'.The lady who came to my room to help me connect to the internet did not communicate and was in a mighty hurry and abrupt leaving me only with a service number to call.I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET THROUGH.Later in the day I used the Gents washrooms in the public area and got locked in the left hand side cubicle (when facing). It was one of the most harrrowing experiences i have had and was locked in there for a good 15 mins in the enclosed area which is isolated and one level down from the lobby, probably because the lock has not been oiled for some time. I left the hotel without a complaint as I was already late for my train and did not want to confront any more rude staff. The only reason I respond to this survey is so that you may have the door lock checked and fixed to avoid a possible mishap in the future.

We really liked the hotel: the location is good (the railway station as well as metro station are nearby), the shopping street is located near. The center of the cty is within the walking distance. Staff are friendly, and breakfasts with champagne are perfect.

"My experience in Vienna"

The hotel is well located, the area is now refurbished and the train station is very nearby. I took 3 rooms because I was traveling with my whole family. My room was superior, but the two of my family were standard. but more than that, cleanliness was standard, pillows allso, the carpets were full of chewing gums and nothing to do. The breakfast is expensive and not good enough, compare with other hotels of the same category and same chain (accord)

great location of the hotel. easy walking distance to tourist attractions and easy access to the metro and tram services. room facilities were excellent, good breakfast selection. very helpful and friendly staff

"Mercure Westbanhof"

A great location for travel to all areas of the city due to proximity of the train station. Neighborhood becoming slightly unsavory, but perhaps only a problem to real nightowls. Rooms are smart and comfortable. Recently installed air conditioning works well and muffles city noises. Internet connections in the rooms never worked throughout my stay, but the lobby connection was reliable. Nice breakfast buffet but breakfast rooms undersized for the number of guests and noisy.

first of all the hotel is just right to the train station (please be awaire, there are 2 Mercure hotels around the main station), so it is perfect if you travel by train..otherwise i would suggest a hotel closer to the historical center.

The hotel was well situated just a couple of minutes walk from the Westbahnhof. It was also very clean and the staff very helpful and willing to help.I think that it's good value for money but the breakfast for me is too expensive (15 euros per day)! All in all i would recommend this hotel to everyone!

"OK only at half price"

Well situated but hard to find, this hotel was excellent value for money because I paid less than half the rack rate. Had I paid the rack rate I would have been very angry. The room was small. The TV system was complex and time wasting. The restaurant, bar and cafe were rarely open. The staff were not helpful. The heating was not adjustable. The in room information did not exist. The staff attempted to charge me for wi-fi I had not used. The lifts were too small for the number of people using them leading to long delays. The whole place had the air of being got ready for permanent closure. Not a 4 * experience !

Room is very clean and service is good. Very near to Vienna West Train Station but have to take metro/tram to city centre (just 2 stops).

The hotel totally met our expectations: it is near to Westbahnhof (it was easy to reach everything from there), the staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were clean and tidy. It was perfect for our stay in Vienna.

2 minutes walk to underground subway system and trams, one minute walk to intercity train stations - Salzburg, Munich etc. Airport shuttel bus stop outside the hotel. Generous buffer breakfast, nice hotel restaurant, and nice Chinese restaurant just around the corner. Will rebook next time we go.
