"don't use the room telephone"

don't use the room telephone to make calls: i payed 36 euros for a 17 min. call at night to a fixed line in belgium!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent location, just opposite the Porta Nigara. Services could be more friendly but the hotel on average was good. It is in walking distance from the city center and the shopping district. The room was clean but the toilet was stinky. The parking was safe. The staff was mostly cooperative but rude with foreigners.

The Hotel is well located just across the street of Porta Negra, very comfortable and everything a Mercure Hotel usually delivers. I use Accor hotels in general and Mercure in particulararound the world by choice and have never been disappointed. A well managed group.

We were only in Trier overnight. This hotel was perfect for us location, staff, everything.The only tiny thing I would say, is breakfast is not included as standard and as it turned out that didn't matter to us.

A good central location and a spotlessy clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable hotel next to the impressive Porta Nigra. Our final bill was issued in pounds rather than euros and at an unfavourable exchange rate. We would have preferred to have been asked if we wished to pay in a currency other than the euro. However the matter was rectified in the end.

The hotel accommodation is good and the car parking below the hotel is a big plus. The staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are good and we slept well. (Our room had the view on Porta Nigra.) The breakfast was good. We'll book this hotel again. Especially as we liked the city very much.
