"Another Ibis"

The new Ibis hotels in Switzerland that we have visited recently are very similar. Having been in one you know exactly what you will be getting. The basic and functional decor and facilities are all that you need for a short stay at a reasonable price. Here the breakfast menu provided the pleasant addition of selection of local cheeses and genuine muesli. Otherwise the restaurant fare is rather limited, which has to be taken into account as the site is on the outskirts of the town. Luckily there is a bus service for those without transport. The surrounding industrial estate has a conference centre and a casino which is said to have a restaurant.

We went to Fribourg to check out accomodation to rent for our son and needed accomodation with wi-fi and car park space, which was more than adequate, as the personnel was very friendly and helped us print out documents. Breakfast is fine and the bus (just around the corner) takes you to the centre in about 10 minutes. We did not have a room with a view (parking lot) but we didn't expect that and would not have had time to enjoy it. Moreover, the hotel is located near the motorway and has easy access.

It's great! I went to Fribourg for the Fed Cup at the Forum and the hotel is just a few meters from it so it was easy to walk to the event. Service and the people are fantastic and very friendly, the best!!! The bar/lounge is good and prices are good too.I enjoyed the weekend and I happily recommend this hotel... is great value for money!!!
