"Are you sure this is a Mercure???"
22nd February 2013, TravellerMx_39, Leeds, United Kingdom
Normally, when we travel abroad we stay with Accor because we know what to expect. First of all, the hotel is dated except for the lobby and restaurant. The room was smelly and the shower hot water didn't work. When we went to complaint, they offer us an inferior room with two single beds so we try to use it to shower but it wasn't working at all. Also, they still manage normal keys instead of cards, which means turning lights off before leaving room. Overall our stay at this Mercure was disappointing. I don't understand how they allow to brand it Mercure when is clearly not. We have stayed at Mercure in Amsterdam and Leeds and you get what you paid. Thanks that we only book 2 nights and we moved to Intercity Bremen near the train station were we really enjoy our stay.
"Overrated hotel"

This Mercure hotel belongs in another class of hotels than the average Mercure hotels in Europe. In comparison to its Hamburg City Center counterpart, where we also stayed, it is not worth its price (it was more expensive!); general aspect, location in the city, room comfort, facilities and restaurant menu are well below par. If the Mercure chain does not do something about upgrading this hotel, it should be avoided.
"Christmas in Bremen"

Good place near tramway line (4 stops to the center, 3 sops to the airport). Room is nothing special, though clean and without that annoying "old" smell. For instance, corridors were a bit creepy. I liked their restaurant very much, we really enjoyed having breakfast there (decently designed place, tasty food, with good service available). Staff was kind and helpful.

"nice staff but not to Accor standard"
19th May 2012, London, United Kingdom
Arrival 21.30 at hotel with no airport shuttle as advertised took the tram which was easy. Bar closed, "restaurant" closed.Room not quiet right on road side. Rooms indeed all hotel needs money spending to bring up to standard, rooms and public areas looking very tired and worn.Sink in bathroom cracked, shower holder not working, curtains not drawing properly.Restaurant menu not much more than snacks of pizza and pasta, pleasant enough but not what was expected by a Mercure "Restaurant"Breakfast very good.Staff were nice and helpful but the hotel certainly a big let down to the Mercure name

"Useless staff and shocking service"
12th March 2012, New Milton, United Kingdom
Arrived on a cold, wet evening after a long working day. Had to wait an age to check in as receptionist was on the phone and on his own. After unpacking came down for something to eat only to then be told the restaurant and bar were closed as they had no staff on. The two staff there made no attempt to help other than to say there was a vending machine available and they clearly couldn't have cared less. Also the place looked run down and tatty.I've stayed in a lot of Accor hotels and they are usually very good, this was far from good. Won't be staying at this one again.
"Staying in Bremen, Germany"

Relatively clean rooms, worth the price. Breakfeast is not the strongest feature of this hotel.Execellent parking (free of charge).Quite area, far away from the city center. Nearby tram station. There a few restaraunts in the vecinity of the hotel.Overall impresion: it worth the money.
"Very nice hotel!"
28th July 2011, Copenhagen
We stayed at Mercure Hotel in Bremen just for one night. The rooms were very nice, clean and big. Beds were extremely comfortable! We needed 2 rooms, as we were 5 persons and we got 2 really good rooms, a bit seperate from the other rooms in the hotel.Nice people in reception. The only minus was that there were no croissants left in the morning, even though we were at the restaurant an hour before closing. The same goes for the apple juice, my daughter was a bit disappointed with this.Good location, it´s easy to get to the center of this very beautiful town! All in all, good hotel!

"Nice cost"
29th June 2011, Braunschweig
The hotel is situated between the airport (3 stations with the tram) and city centre (4 stations with the tram), but there's not much in the imediate surroundings. Great trade-off between price and service. I only think the breakfast is too expensive, I'd recommend to eat outside the hotel or to buy stuff in the supermarkt and leave in the room (there's fridge and 2 small stoves). Helpful and friendly staff. I'd definitely stay again!
"Freimarkt"
15th November 2010, Oslo, Norway
We stayed 3 night at the hotel during visiting the Bremen Freimarkt. The hotel is sentral to the airport and to the tram witch take us easerly to the center for Bremen. A lot of people at breakfast and we have to wait to be seated.
