"For my business trip it is very good place to stay."
26th March 2012, Baku, Azerbaijan
Several times in year I have business trips to Brussels and Diegem Etap hotel is very reasonable to me by price and quality rate.
"Nice"
12th March 2012, Antwerp, Belgium
Nice and clean hotel. The bed is a little hard to sleep on, as it is only a matress on a plank. I had a very nice view out of the window, as I slept in a room at the front of the hotel ( 414 ).Breakfast is also very good.
"Very average"
27th February 2012, London
Beware of the 9 euro parking charge (outside - 15 euros inside). The cost of the stay is not as cheap as they would like you to think. Otherwise not a bad location, and the rooms are clean. There is better value to be found in the area though
"Budget hotel close to airport"
22nd February 2012, Poznan, Poland
We had to book this hotel because our flight was cancelled. Book the room in the net - the price is always better (we saved 10 euros). There is a free shuttle from the airport. Very good! Location of the hotel is in the middle of the corn field. Nevertheless it takes 20-25 minutes to the center of small city (nice walk). In the city there are some shops and restaurants. Breakfast was ok. Expensive internet - use the free access in Ibis hotel (nearby).
"Desperate times in Brussels"
6th October 2011, LivLou, Liverpool
Last minute booking and I got what I deserved. Didn't have high expectations and was hoping for Travelodge standard but it was grimmer. Wasn't actually dirty but everything looked grimy, tired and old. Scratched plastic chairs, fuzzy TV and scuzzy sink. Took an age to check in as we all had to pay before we saw our rooms. No advice or help on airport buses etc. No redeeming features.
"Good low cost very basic business hotel"
5th October 2011, London, United Kingdom
Clean modern rooms which are fairly small but perfectly adequate for one or two nights. Front desk staff helpful. Breakfast is VERY basic probably better off getting at the airport if heading that way.
"Modern hotel at low price"
14th September 2011, Ljubljana, Slovenia
This hotel has nice modern rooms that I found great. Especialy the night lighting. Rather far from the center but close to IBM building. Only two restaurants were close one of them was expensive and the second one not so expensive. If you come to Brussels by plane you can take a free bus or shuttle to this hotel that drives every half hour.
"It works."
12th September 2011, Phuket, Thailand
Basic, clean, efficient and near the airport. Possible to get to centre of Brussels by public transport, although not terribly convenient. Very good for a short stay, but not for conducting business or extensive touring of Brussels.
"Cheap hotel near the airport"
8th September 2011, Salerno, Italy
This hotel is near some important facilities (Eurocontrol, Deloitte, NATO, CapGemini) and a few minutes from the airport. It has a free shuttle bus which is fine. For my business i'ts the ideal choice, when I stay for one day and I don't have time to stroll downtown.
"Everything that you expect from an Etap"
8th June 2011, Simon_travellor, London, United Kingdom
This is a budget hotel, so don't expect luxury. Etap is a member of the Accor hotels chain, which has many hotel chains of different grades. I use it quite a lot, because the standard of hotels in each chain is consistent and reliable. This hotel does not disappoint. - it is good value, efficient and clean. This is an airport hotel, and the rooms are quite compact and close together. Therefore, there is always a risk that you will be woken by noisy late arrivals and early departures. The hotel information only gives directions by car, so here is the information for public transport (this is important, because taxis in Brussels are expensive - you can easily spend the savings from a cheap hotel outside the centre on taxi fares):- There IS a shuttle service from the airport, which is shared with the neighbouring IBIS hotel (look on its website for information).- There are buses that pass the hotel entrance towards the centre of Brusseld (I did not get information, but I think they included No 272)- You can catch the No12 or No22 (evenings) express bus on its way from the airport to the centre (Schumann and Place de Luxembourg) from the NATO HQ bus stop, which is around 800m walk from the hotel. The only point to note is the lack of local sources of local cheap food. The pizza machine that is mentioned in other reviews was not working when I was there; the restaurant in the Ibis is not cheap (15 euros for the cheapest main course, but I was given a voucher for a free drink at the Etap reception). There is a vending machine in the hotel with sandwiches (4 Euros). Breakfast in the Etap was 7 Euros.
"Budget airport hotel"
3rd May 2011, altrincham
Cheap and cheerful airport hotel 5 mins drive from airport in the edge of a business paerk. €35-45 taxi from central Brussels but you can use the train to the airport and the hotel shuttle or a 10 minute walk to Digem station. Simple breakfast. Shops 15-20 mins walk in Digem. Zaventem village was nice for lunch (went by car). Carrefour supermarket and Pizza Hut 3 kms away. Use as a base but make sure you know how you will get around.
"Good value but not style"
23rd February 2011, Reading
Now lets be honest you don't go to an Etap for style & high quality. There are few frills here, but what you do get is a clean room with a comfortable bed for the night, at a price that is hard to beat near an airport in a European capital city.So if you are happy with that the hotel is fine. If you want more finery try another hotel in the Accor chain, there are two on the same site a Pullman and an IBIS
"ETAP - Brussel Airport (Diegem)"
29th December 2010, London
A typical Accor hotel complex close to Brussel aiport and industrial sites/NATO base, it is co-located with the IBIS, ETAP and Forumla 1 brands.I have used this hotel many times when visiting, and it has been safe and clean and plenty adequate for a short no frill business stay. Buffet breakfast facility in the morning, has a good selection. Evening meals are best taken at the adjacent IBIS hotel, unless you plan to travel into the centre or surrounding area. There is also an automated Pizza vending machine just in front of the hotel which was a first for me ! Did not try but plenty of others did and they seemed happy.
