Location was alright, staff was lovely, but the system you use for wifi is absolutely annoying. I would be happy to pay for wifi to be able to set in a code for a locked wifi. the solution with browsercodes is just unusable if you want to connect a device that doesn’t have a browser. I was not able to connect the devices I wanted, so the wifi was no use at all. I did choose ibis because of the included wifi, so this was quite the disappointment.

Perfect for what I needed

I needed a place to spend a "transit" night in Bern to visit the Motofestival at the Expo center while travelling from Geneva to Ticino. The centre of Bern is just 8 minutes away using Tram 9 (very frequent) and you can walk to the "Bear Pit" and the river in 15 minutes - though walking back takes longer as it is all up-hill. The Ibis budget is reasonably priced, comfortable, simple clean and quiet. - remarkably so, given the building works just across the road at the Expo. I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that.
