"Better for two than for three."
11th June 2012, JD1234Crewe, Crewe
Budget hotel, so we didn't expect it to be great, but the room is adequate for three, if a bit sparse. The main bed is very comfortable. The third bed is a bunk above the main bed, and the ladder leading up to this bunk is narrow and feels insecure - it is easy to miss your step when coming down,
"Trip to Swiss"
12th April 2012, Paris, France
We enjoyed our stay in hotel was enjoyed. Location really good and easily accesable from city. However, not much option in breakfast for Vegetarians. 11 Swiss franks are not worth to pay when compare to the quality and options i got Zurich & Amsteedam. In my view, Accor hotel group needs to pay more attention on this issue to provide vegetarian food for breakfast.
"What's up with the bathroom"
10th April 2012
The room was hot, the bed was hard, the bathroom was plain weird. We spent three nights and the Etap hotel and frankly of all the hotels I've ever stayed in this one was the worst. Our first experience was actually walking into the Novotel lobby with a somewhat hopeful experience, when they told us we were in the wrong place and that there were other 'hotels' in this building I knew to expect the worst.Upon entering the room we saw a plastic case with two doors. Opening the doors we found both the shower and the toilet. They were basically porta-potty bathrooms. Then the double bed on the floor had a bunk bed above it. I guess this is a value hotel that is supposed to be for multiple people in the rooms, but I did not have that expectation. Besides, I couldn't really get past the porta-potty bathroom.I'm sorry Accor, I used to work for you and I cannot recommend this hotel. It was almost as if you spared no expense making this hotel as cheap as possible...for yourselves.
"berner bear"

Fairly nice hotel on a winter discount. Good location only afew minutes by tram from city center. The breakfast was basic with coffee, rolls, marmelade and muesli. The rooms were equipped with television and a working wifi. The hotel was situated in the same buildingas ibis on the three floors above ibis. In summary for a cheap hotel version of ibis and for staying overnight it is a good choice.
"a good "pit stop""
28th August 2011, Póvoa de Varzim
Etap in Bern is a good "pit stop" but don't expect nothing more... the rooms are old, and the service is as in all etaps. The price ended to be a bit high comparing with other etaps with better conditions such as lausanne (for example). it has a good (but also pricy) uderground garage. The best thing is it's location. city centre is a 15 mn walk (1,5km) south.
"Good Value Hotel"

A value hotel which provides all the necessary services for a comfortable stay within walking distance of the city. Adequate breakfast, simple but comfortable room. Parking available at the Hotel at cost approx 11chf.
""Living in a box" type of hotel"
10th June 2011, Prilep
Very clean and luckily not hermetically closed (there was a possibility to open the windows in our room). The room was small and the worst thing is that there was not a wardrobe. The toilet and shower cabin were claustrophobic and there was not a place to leave your stuffs (shampoo, shower cream, razor etc.) while you are taking a shower. Moreover, the shower was fixed and it was almost impossible to have a shower without having your hair wet. There was not a hair dryer in the room, but kind people from the reception provided us with one for free (surprisingly without a deposit unlike in Geneva). There was free Wi-Fi in the lobby and also kind employees were willing to provide a free adapter to plug in the laptop. As for the location, it is not central, but city centre could be reached in about 30 minutes walking along a very scenic path. All in all, good service.
"Not far from center"
2nd May 2011, Nice,france
This Etap hotel is not far from the city center. You can directly take Tram 9 from train station to this hotel and the Tram station is just under the hotel building, so it is very convenient. The person of the hotel answers our questions kindly. The drawbacks are no free Internet and no power adapter to borrow.
"Great value for money"

Good location - walking distance to the Bear Garden, and easy access to train station with tram station right in front of the hotel. Convenient parking (shared with Novotel and IBIS). Friendly staff. Nice view of the stadium and BEA expo.
"Expensive Internet"
26th December 2010, Sao Paulo
Good and well-located hotel, but Internet service too expensive.
"Voyage de noces"

Bern's Altstadt is a beautiful city and the hotel is ideally located adjacent to the tramway for easy access. we enjoyed our time in Bern very much. The views from the tenth floor over the mountains were incredible.
