Easy to access hotel outside the city but with good public transport link to the centre (free if you park in the train station car park) on the day. Modern & bright, comfortable & clean rooms. Ideal for a one or two night stay but probably rooms not large enough for longer stays

Took us over an hour driving around Brugge to find the hotel, address and co-ordinates did not help. Found a taxi driver to ask in the end, was so hidden! Service was good and rooms were comfortable (very compact!).

I arrived with my husband at 11 pm straight from the Dover/Calais ferry with a stop in Brugge for supper, being very tired as we had driven from Hull in Yorkshire to Dover in 5.5 hours and then from Calais to Brugge, another hour long journey. We had supper in town, hence the lateness of our arrival. When we arrived the night manager was at the vending machine with a guest feeding money into it, he then proceeded to change more money for her. Another person was on the phone with a query, but was obviously on her way home, as when she put the phone down, she told us the manager would see to us, although she did not leave immediately. When we were booked in we were told to go to room 2, this we did with every intention of going straight to bed. We left the room immediately as the room had not been cleaned from the previous guest, with an unmade bed, dirty towels on the shower floor and dirty wash basin/surface. When we returned to the reception area we had to wait for the manager to come from a back room although there were still a number of guests in the lobby area. He allocated us the next room (4) next door and changed our code on the receipt, but couldn't understand when I asked him for the rest of the paperwork he had given us originally. I eventually reached over the counter and pointed to the relevant papers, which he then gave to me. We got to our room about 11.20pm. My husband was exhausted and was asleep by 12 midnight. I personally was watching the tv when suddenly the wall I was laid against whilst in bed, shook to such an extent that I thought something had happened to the hotel, I woke my husband and told him, it happened again and he said they were preparing the room next door as it was probably needed, as we understood the hotel was fully booked. This banging, vacuuming, door slamming and general other cleaning noise went on for over an hour. I opened the door to check what was happening,to find the fire door to the lobby propped open, and the noise from there was filtering through to the rooms,also the door to room 2 was open and bedding had been thrown outside on the floor and noise was coming from inside the room. I think the bed was being moved as several times I was moved by the wall moving. I don't think it was fair to make so much noise over cleaning the room as there was, and it should have been done when the previous guest vacated it earlier. We won't be staying again.

Check in at Reception was very poor, I had to queue twice and this with a confirmed booking. Only one member of staff to deal with all the incoming guests. Otherwise staff were nice and helpful. The Hotel is ideally situated for the town centre and if you want to travel by train. Very large car-park facing the Hotel with reasonable charges.

What more can you ask for when paying a reasonable price to stay near the town centre. It is next to the train station and car park. So, no matter how you get to the hotel, you have easy access. There is a Carrefour express next to the hotel and plenty of good quality restaurant within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for value for money!!!
