This is clearly a budget hotel and it is not very central. However, it is clean and very close to the Porte Doree metro station, so if you are willing to travel a bit longer to get into the center of Paris, it is a perfectly fine location. There is not much around the hotel and it is not a particularly attractive area, though there is a good food market on Sundays and some good boulangeries/patisseries. Vandermeersch in particular is very close by and outstanding.

I had a few problems... The staff hardly spoke English, the lighting in the bathroom did not come on when I first took the room. The paint has been off at some areas in the room, and the complementary tea bags only had infusion tea,
