"Good location, large room, sub-standard customer care"
2nd September 2013, abdjibawi, London, United Kingdom
Very good location for Paris trip. Value for money as booked very early. Queen's room and good design. Large with separable two rooms. Customer care (desk) was useless and uncooperative in fact. Refused to repair the fridge; refused to deliver sugar to the room, etc. Parking outside hotel is free from 9:00-19:00. But we overall really enjoyed this trip!!
"Stay in paris"
27th August 2013, Rahul757, London, United Kingdom
We stayed at the hotel in August, hotel was nice and clean the staff were friendly, the room was nice and spacious for 2 adults and 2 children under 12, the area is ok and there is a supermarket outside the metro station where you can buy few things for your stay. The location of the hotel was about 15/20 minutes from the Garde du Norde station, you can either take the metro which is around 6 stops or take a bus 65 from outside the station on the left.
"Awfull place in the middle of worst area from Paris with stubborn Manager"
31st July 2013, Ronald116893, Rotterdam, The Netherlands
The hotel carries 3 stars, but does not deserve this. Air-conditioning not working (in the whole hotel) Shower head broken. Reception does not care and does not offer solutions. Area from the hotel is one the worst of Paris, with a very high crime rate.
"Questionable location, good rooms"
23rd July 2013, mzynfo, Celje, Slovenia
Location of the 4* hotel should not be in almost fearful milieu. The only positive side of location is relative proximity to Metro and Bus stations (5 min walk). Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast is not worth of money (16€/person). You have microwave and big table in the room. It would be better to make breakfast by yourself.
"Great Hotel, but poor Area"
19th July 2013, Office1160, Vienna, Austria
Hotel is very far away from the center, many homeless people and much dirt around the hotel!! Smell of Urin is normal on those streets! The hotel itself is nice with a beautiful room, although cleaning wasn't always accurate.
"Good hotel but rough area"
11th July 2013, latteguy, Glasgow, United Kingdom
The hotel itself is excellent, modern facilities, nice room and good view from the 10th floor room we stayed. However getting to the hotel is challenging on foot because we have to walked through a rough area from the metro. Not recommended for the faint of heart or for ladies travelling in small numbers (heck, even guys)
"Good hotel for visiting Paris"
4th January 2013, erikhHelmond, Helmond
We stayed in this hotel for a visit with our kids (5 and 8 years of age) for a 2 day visit to Paris. This hotel is a good place to stay; the room is quite large, with modern furniture and nice and clean. The Metro is close (5 to 10 minutes walk) and you can easily reach the hotel by car and park your car in the garage below the hotel.
"Very good business hotel"
12th December 2012, Waheed A, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
The size of he suite compare to other hotels in Paris is very spacious, the suite has almost everything needed for a business traveller with little kitchenette, and very good working area with wired and wireless internet free of charge, they also lend a Smart for 2 cars for guests staying more than 4 days, which I used twice free of charge for 4 hours a day, it was a really nice experience. this hotel is my kind of hotel.
"comfortable hotel, friendly staff"
18th October 2012, Cairo
this is the 2nd time I stay in this hotel and I really like it. friendly staff, rooms are spacious with small very practicle kitchenette (coffee, microwave, complimentary cakes). breakfast is sufficient although no varieties of cheese. you can buy at the reception water, juice or snacks in case you would not want to go out. Wifi is excellent and free. about 5min walk from metro. but if you want to go to main touristic attractions you would probably change the line. around 15min by metro to Champs Elysees.I would probably stay there again.
"Nice rooms, good service"
19th September 2012, PaulW917, Albion, Michigan, USA
Good service and nice sized rooms. The shower was excellent and we liked that the toilet room was separate from the show/bathtub/sink. Location is not optimal, but still just a short 20-30 minute taxi to all the sites in Paris. I would definitely stay there again.
12th August 2012, REDOL, ISRAEL
The only positive point was the security guard that helped us going down to the car parking..The location is on the peripheric. nothing nearby.the room we ordered was for 4.we got a 3 beds room with another bad hiding under the double bed.We had to pull it out and sleeping almost on the floor wasn't nice for my daughter ! the room toilets and bathroom are one unit of plastic, and the breakfast they give (for extra payment) is combined from small plastic boxes with all kinds of food ,served on plastic plates. There wasn't enough food and it was partly refilled.Go there if you don't have any other option!
"Great Hotel shame about the area!"
11th August 2012
We were due to arrive by Metro but unfortunately station was closed for refurbishment this involved a particularly scary walk/bus journey avoiding the traffic & squatters. The whole area was very run down. On arrival at the hotel we received a warm greeting & felt immediately safe. Check in was swift & we were relieved to arrive at our "suite", we opted for a late dinner from your chillers cooked in room, which was a great concept although in reality not great for the price. (Could only cook one meal at a time & some were frozen not chilled so took longer than the packet stated, the beef was very bland but duck, chicken & pasta good). Room was very clean & we loved the flexibility & the dividing screen meant we didn't have to go to bed at the same time as the kids. Bathrooms impeccably well maintained with good facilities, felt a bit like we were in a boat! Breakfast again was a concept all individually packaged & with a great variety to choose from. Novotel really have considered every little detail here, hopefully the area will see some improvement.
8th August 2012, znubng, Stavanger, Norway
arrived paris in the evening and was surprised why taxis were not ready to tk me down to my hotel.eventually got there and the hotel meets all i imagined and needed;from a microwave,to a refrigerator, free internet access, clean and spacious rooms.....etcthe only negative is the location...having to trek down a lonely path under d bridge to get to the terminal. The hotel is very child-friendly wt free breakfast and gift for children and the staff were relatively good.
"Family trip to Paris"
15th July 2012, Copenhagen
Easy to find the Hotel, good parking for the car, a little problem with the reservation, a little problem with the room ( toiletdoor couldn't close) but got a new room i 5 min. Nice big clean room, good windows kept the noise from the motorway ( just outside the hotel) completly out, no noise at all. A little expensive parking - 24 Euro pr. day. 10 min walk to the Metro station - line 12 end-station, but a walk through a unpleasent part of the city. But all in all goos value for the money.
"I'd stay there again with my family"
13th July 2012
Right at the intersection of major highways. Close to the metro. Clean and safe hotel. No restaurants anywhere close by. Although the hotel sells meal boxes to make up for it.We are a family of 4 with two kids ages 5 & 8. We didn't walk around the neighbourhood at night, but walked around during the day. The neighbourhood is diverse and yet clean by Parisian standards.Breakfast is pretty good.
"Great family hotels"
5th July 2012, London, United Kingdom
Modern, well equipped hotel with well-sized rooms (or 'suites' as they call them).Great value for families with their 1 double + 2 single bed rooms, plus free breakfast for the kids! The only negatives were the tatty outside terrace with cigarette bins overflowing, and the air conditioning could have been better too, considering you couldn't open the windows for long because of the traffic noise coming from the large road junction just by the hotel.Overall happy though - we had a great weekend!
"Great stay in Paris"
27th May 2012, mickycurtis, Frankfurt, Germany
There were a lot of complaints about the location of this resort, I almost didn't book the reservation because of it. However, it wasn't that bad. It is near the metro station which is very convenient. There was some construction in the area which was not so convenient, but that was not much of an issue. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and muli-lingual, the hotel was very nice inside. Overal it was a great stay!
"Review Novotel Paris Porte de la Chapelle"
13th February 2012, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
As a 3 star hotel is is quite good and good value. Only negative I found was the limited breakfast possibility, it was just adequate for my needs. I would rate that below average. Rest is really recommended.
"OK but nothing special"
3rd February 2012, Lyon
I stay at the hotel on a regular basis because it is close to my offices and means I do not need to travel into the center of Paris.Area: dodgyPublic Transport: no direct path accross major roads - very dangerousBed: not a real bed, just a plank of plywood and a poor matressWifi: seems like we're surfing with a 56k modem - when it worksCheck-In: 10 minutes
