"Nice hotel, friendly English/German Speaking staff"

Ibis are just like Motel 6 in the states. But the hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and you get alot for your money. I don't recommend the breakfast though, far better to find a cafe near by. At this particular Ibis there was a McDonalds next to the hotel. perfect for a cheap coffee and breakfast sandwich. The bus station is nearby the hotel and is only 15 min ride to Salzburg. Its really convient to just park the car and ride the bus.

This hotel has a great location - close to Salzburg downtown, right at the A1 Westautobahn and close to the airport. Great value, friendly. I do recommend this hotel for budget traveler who still wants good quality and comfort.

We stayed in this hotel as it was mentioned on the accor website that the hotel is walking distance to Nord station.. However when we reached the hotel, realized it is not and the hotel staff told us not to walk down!! Also, there was issue with payment as i had reserved the room for one person, but realized the mistake and called accor to say that we are two.. Accor did not tell me that for 2, the room rates increase, and i came to know when i reached the hotel.. I refused to pay for the extra person and they created hassles but finally let me stay.. Salzburg is not very expensive and i dont think one should pay 75 euro for 2 people to stay in this hotel!! However if you dont mind the rates, it was a clean hotel!!

The ibishotel.com website states: "The Salzburg Ibis Nord Hotel is located near the train station". This is outrageously wrong, it is located at more than 3 km from the train station, without even a direct bus connection! In fact the hotel is after the "Salzburg ended" sign - I have a photo about this. Bus 21 stops right next to the hotel, but it doesn't go to the main train station. Bus 23 does go to the train station, but it stops at about 10 min walk from the hotel. Both buses come only every 15 min on working days and every 30 min on weekends. Last bus is around 11pm and being so far from the center, a taxi costs between 8-12 euros. When I complained on the main Accor website about this, I only got an automated email saying that somebody will answer, but that never happened. When I complained at the reception, the manager insisted that 3 km is in fact "near" the train station.

(+) Spacious room, clean, quiet enough for a good sleep, helpful staff, free wi-fi in the lobby.(-) Far from the main train station and city center ~10-15 min by bus 21. A bit expensive, like every other hotel in Salzburg
"Ibis Salzburg - No Go!"

Firstly I would like to say I don’t normally write reviews for places but I feel I should warn fellow travelers about this particular hotel we were staying 2 nights as a break from hostels.We've stayed in many other Ibis hotels around England and Europe - and normally they have been great, however sadly we have to say that on this particular occasion our stay was more or less than terrible.When we arrived we were not greeted at all by the receptionist, we had to introduce ourselves. The lady at the desk looked rather annoyed at us and with a sigh she asked who our booking was under. She then informed us that we were in a smoking room. We were quiet shocked as neither of us had booked a smoking room ...as we don’t smoke. Great for those who do but when someone suffers from asthma that’s the last place you want to be. We'd asked to be changed to a different room and she told us that there were no rooms available and that we had made the mistake and that it was entirely our fault...no joke those were the words she said to me!!! Shocked we quickly jumped on to the web to see our booking and if there was any mistake ...no....checked the website and there was nothing about having to specify about a non-smoking room. We soon discovered that the hotel did in fact have spare rooms and the receptionist had in fact lied to us. When going back to ask her about it, she rolled her eyes and looked increasingly annoyed. Without going on she did end up moving us to another room but we had to continue to ask for simple things that you expect when you stay at a hotel ....a map....how to get into town, where we are on the map (it is a 40 minute walk, 20 min bus ride @ 4.20 euros a return ticket) almost justifies staying somewhere else! On top of that the air conditioning was broken and we couldn’t open the window so it was a very uncomfortable hot room.

Location close to Autobahn is good and its not far from central parts of Salzburg. Mc Donalds beside is practical if you prefer simple and cheap breakfast. A dinner restaurant in the hotel is nice but not necessary.

Basic room for reasonable price. Outstanding breakfast for Ibis standards. It is really worth it taking it. For people travelling by car (my case), finding parking if you arrive late may become an issue. Besides this last point I would only use Ibis if they were like this one.

if you drive to salzburg by a car, ibis is just located at the A1 salzburg nord intersection which is really convenient for city exploring.public bus #21 is right on the front door of the hotel, 15 minute drive of bus will take you directly to the old town center, and the bus service are four times an hour during the business hours (7am to 7 pm). There is no restaurent service of the hotel and nearby area, but one Mcdonald is about 20 feet behind the hotel where you can solve the dinning problem.In summary, this hotel is really suitable for a car exploring tourist who expect not spending two much time in find roas and parking lots in crowded downtown.

there was a friendly and helpfull service at the reception, also the personal at breakfast were very kind, it is an excellent location, easy to discover the city by bus because of the busstop right in front of the hotel, enough place to park the car, cleanliness was allright, nothing negative to mention

The room is very small, livable, table/desk very basic.The wash room is clean, shower water low.Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is just beside bus stop. One bus ride to old city, convenient.

very good value for money. Situated about 15 minutes by bus from the city centre but very easy access with bus stop just outside hotel and another bus stop to the train station about 5 minutes walk away over the road and down a side street and underpass. Friendly service at check in and very good breakfast for Euro 10.00 per person. Nice and very well priced restaurants around 5 to 10 minutes walking distance away from hotel and also convenient McDonalds next door.

Very nice hotel, good breakfast. Bus stop at the hotel door that will put you in the center of Salzburg in less than 10 minutes. A special word of appreciation to the hotel team. They are absolutely amazing and will do everything to help you feel like if you're at home. Thank you for this nice experience.
