"Location not very good......Bus stop outside but very infrequent service"

I am a big fan of Accor hotels for 20yrs but now my opinion changed with this Ibis Florence hotel right next to Novotel..On the last day of my stay i realised that next bus departing is 1 hour away and on seeing a Novotel schuttle approached the reception(showed her the bus tkts in my hand in case she thinks we are asking for a free ride) with my Silver club card & requested that we being Accor members allowed to travel to the city centre to catch a train to Bologna which we shall miss if we had to wait for the city bus.But no. the staff were rude & told us it was only for Novotel guests..Where is the Accor hospitality or loyalty rewarded for being with them for 20yrs in our case ?

free parking , good clean rooms , great check in - kind and welcoming staff very pleased honestly expected a motel and I was so wrong..... really enjoyed the uncomplicated situation....perfect for business

It takes about 20 min by bus from the railway station, & then walk about 5 min. The location is in the industry zone so no restaurant nearby, but the price is attractive. U can also choose to go by taxi, Euro30 from the hotel to the railway station if u have heavy luggages

Today, internet is much more important than TV or telephone. It would be better if free wifi is available in the room, especially for this new modern type hotel. The location is very convenient for shopping in supermarket and wholesale outlet. The services in reception and restaurant are good but the food is normal.

This hotel looks good outside and inside. The rooms are neat and clean with telephone and TV and the staff are helpful. We purchased breakfast at the hotel and there was a wide selection of food to suit everyones taste.I have no complaints about this hotel so if you are looking for a great place to stay, then this is the place to be.

I would stay here again. Great value for the money, but, getting to and from the hotel was a task. You had to take a city bus which took 30 minutes each way and then you had to walk 5 minutes from the bus stop. Taxi's are out of the question if you are looking to save some money. The bus was easy and actually it gave you a chance to see what the "Other" part of Florence looked like. Actually, the 4 of us all agreed that in a weird sort of way, taking the 30 minute bus ride home after walking around town all day was a nice change...and it did give us the knowledge of how the buses work which made getting around town easy. But, if you have any limitations...small kids, old bones, a lot of packages this is not the place for you.

Breakfast: improve the quality and provide the guests with much more products. Perhaps my personal experinece has been not particularly positive due the fact that the hotel was not full. Not all receptionists have been so available to welcome the guests

The location quite far from the City, the taxi charges quite high in Italy, Room & Services are okay.

Unfortunately, the low rate was eaten up by 2 expensive taxis, totalling Euros 50, to and from the airport. Ibis does not have an airport shuttle and, even though we are Accor members, the next-door Novotel would not let us use their shuttle because we were not staying there. We might just as well have spent our taxi money on staying at the Novotel or Holiday Inn.
