"many other options in bali this will dissapoint"

We have tried many of the accor hotels in Bali and should not have bothered with the Mercure Kuta. We had planned to stay 6 nights but lasted 1 before moving to another hotel.The duty manager tried to help out with the issues in our room but it was well below par.

"One of the best and strategic location in Kuta"

Positive :1. Want to feel Kuta atmosphere at night or celebrate new year eve2. Want to enjoy Kuta area or around - Tuban/Legian/Seminyak3. Easy acces and not so hard to reach4. Good view from the pool on 4th floorNegative :1. Room is small2. Traffic jam in certain times - be patient then3. Small hotel but well enough

"Wonderful and convenient"

what a view of Kuta Beach and the Ocean from the 4th floor where the swimming pool is. Enjoying that view so much. I just wish the pool were bigger.....just a wish.The staffs were very very friendly, helpful and greeted me with smile. I most appreciated that.

"Lovely stay, beautiful hotel"

I traveled with a friend and we were in Bali on a holiday with the intent to go out to clubs at night too. The location is great if you're looking to be close to Poppys 1 & 2 which has shopping and restaurants and the nightclubs and markets. We booked a superior room which was on level 3 overlooking the pond. It was much better than I had expected it to be. We had double doors to the balcony and a very large bed (queen size but a bit wider) and a flat screen TV as well as an in room safe and great air-con. The rooms are a bit dark but it wasn't a problem. I noticed other rooms over looking reception and their balcony's were smaller with only one door, so I think I got one of the better rooms. Room cleaning came everyday and changed the sheets and pillow cases as well as mopped, swept and gave fresh towels which was great! The pool was awesome, great view over looking the ocean and looks bigger in real life. The hotel is really expensive compared to other restaurants and massages are way over priced (same price as spa in Australia). One place I highly recommend eating at is Mozzarella on Legian Beach, so cheap ($5/6 for a huge pasta and $2.50 for juices, 2 for 1 cocktails) and really good staff as well as best views and amazing decor. Another place to visit is Potato Head in Seminyak, quite expensive but a must do! Mopeds are the best way to get around but taxis are cheaper. All in all, I would recommend staying at the Mercure, slightly more expensive but slightly better too!! Nightclub tip: Skygarden is awesome as well as surfer bar

"Disappointing"

Stayed here from 21st till the 24th, booked from the Mercure website promo that includes free breakfast for 2, free 60 mins massage, and complimentary Wifi. Room is located on the Ground Floor, right next to the reception. Size of the room is really small (felt like I was in a Hong Kong or Singapore hotel), cleanliness of the room is really disappointing, toilet -basin and mirrors has stains. The glasses and cups, dont be fooled by the plastic wrapper on it, it is really dirty with water stains and it smells like a soiled cloth was used to wipe it dry. Breakfast choice was ok, but lack quality, the toaster is obviously faulty, 3 days breakfast, no matter at what temperature set, bread is always charred. Pastries were uncooked, (you can taste the powdery flour)Wifi is totally useless, there was limited signal in my room and when there is, the speed is appalling. On the bright side, the bed was really comfortable and a great location to be in just fronting Kuta beach. Hotel decor was really nice, from the lobby to the pool deck. The massage was one of the best I've had in Bali.This is probably one of the worst Accor hotels that I've stayed in. There are many more hotels in Kuta you can stay. My advice, avoid Mercure Kuta!

"Well comfort and good customer service"

Its a nice hotel to be in. Am pleased with the Deluxe room where i stayed.Very good reception service and customer orientated. And certainly good to be part of the le-accor club member to have the privileges.Just a slight note for the Wifi lovers. Some rooms have dead spot where you can see the SSID of the wireless network but you can't get to the log-in page. Just got to move to the balcony and its back to normal. A good and pleasant experience.

"Nice place to see sunset"

Exactly in kuta beach, Good location for seeing sunset. Swimming pool is very beautiful , especially to see sunset. It is easy to find cafe and very close to new mall at kuta beach.Swimming pool always open till 9 pm.

"Needs Improvement"

I came this hotel with rather high hopes but must say that I am rather disappointed after my stay. After check-in, I noticed tha there was only one toothbrush and not shaving kit so I went to request for another toothbrush and 1 shaving kit. Later on when I went back to the room, I found another 2 toothbrushes but no shaving kit - was my request not clear? At about 1030pm, I received a call telling my that I had not signed the form for airport pick-up which they had forgotten to ask me to sign earlier. They told me that I could sign it tomorrow. At about 0900am the next morning, I received a call to sign the form. Is it really that urgent? I mean they were lucky I was already awake when they called in the morning!When I was checking out, I wanted to request for pcik-up to airport. The answer I got was - 'You must arrange it a day earlier'. When I replied that I was not informed earlier, I got the same reply. Only when I mentioned that I wanted the pick-up to be later that evening, the staff then asked me to arrange with the travel counter who was having their break. My problem is not with the break but that this staff did not seem to be keen for me to use the hotel transfer.Aside to this, the location is not too bad but it needs to be noted I realised that there have been some changes along the stretch of Kuta and quite a few restaurants are no longer there. If what you want is access to the Kuta Beach, stay here. Also if you are looking for a quiet time, sorry but you got to avoid this hotel.

"Neat and affordable"

Good location, easy to travel nearby. Hotel is neat and swimming pool on rooftop is a must. Booked a package with complimentary massage and wifi. Also, enjoyed an upgrade to superior room. Room is a bit small but the balcony is nice. Overall, good experience and I would stay there again or recommend to friends for short stays.
