"Visit Ibis Salamanca"

Although difficult to find in the centre of Salamanca, this is a lovely Ibis hotel. Once you have parked up it is a short walk to the centre of the old city with many nice eating places and sights to see. I would recommend it to anyone who can find it as it is a lovely place for a stop-over in Salamanca
"Excellently located hotel"

The hotel was only 5 minutes walk from the old town overlooking a park. It was very quiet and comfortable. The rooms/hotel were kept very clean at all times. Whilst we did not have the breakfast, it looked expensive for what was on offer. As with most IBIS Hotels the air conditioning/comfort cooling is not very efficient..
"Ibis, Salamnaca"

Excellent hotel. Centrally situated. Pleasant staff, good rooms, hotel parking (charged). Lovely city. We used this as a stopover before catching the ferry from Santander but well worth a visit in its own right.
"Overnight stop"

Ideal stopover if travelling from South Spain or Algarve North to Bilbao for ferry.Secure parking available for 7 euros underground. Have to be good at parking in narrow spaces though.Easy walk into city centre (Plaza Major) for siteseeing visit.
"salamanca - must see"
10th May 2011, Madrid
The hotel was as expected. That's why we pick Ibis.BIG minus = 1 hour internet free, limit. Other smaller hotels/hostals have unlimited internet. The Breakfast area looked "uninviting" during the day, no lights.
"Sleepless in Salamanca"

We have stayed at this hotel several time and have always been satisfied until our last visit. We had the privilege of drunken youths singing out loud in the early hours followed by a woman who could not stop talking out loud in the park opposite on her way (i assume) to her cleaning job. The bed this time was a bit worn out and the pillows needed some filling.Parking can also be a problem unless you have a car and willing to pay in their basement car park. I have a 4x4 with a roof box so we had to sit in the car and wait for space on the road outside the hotel.
"Salamanca with dogs"
3rd January 2011, Gibraltar
We booked this hotel as we know that Ibis hotels allow dogs. This hotel was very dog friendly plus it also has a private car park underground (we were charged €7 for both the dog and parking). We were travelling from the south of Spain to Santander to catch the ferry and it was really good to be able to leave most of our luggage in the car securely.Another great plus point for dog owners using this hotel is that it is positioned opposite a park. You need to keep your dog on a lead in most areas but it is way better than walking them on the street.
"our diagonal trip"

We stayed for one night in Ibis Salamanca. We had two rooms (3 & 2 beds). The location is really centric and within walking distance to the old city which was handy indeed. One room was cold, because the heating wasn't enough. The other one, however, was all right. The smell in the corridor was a bit like of a hospital but you couldn't feel it in the room.We got a parking place in Ibis' garage but you have to pay 7€/day.Breakfast was OK (6,50 per person). We've got nat.juice, but the coffee was water-like.
