I was there overnight for a meeting the next morning. Check in fine with efficient and courteous service. The rooms are small but comfortable with all amenities. Bed comfortable but a bit too soft. Check-out at 8am was a hassle. Too many guests at one time and not enough staff on duty. Not arranged well as,if you selected a slow queue you waited much longer than others. A better system at check-out would help

Bar service slow, 25 minutes to get a drink because it was free as a silver member.Dinning was terrible service 50 minutes to get a bread roll, order taken came back to ask the same questions again about how i want my meat cooked. Ordered wine, came during my starter (curried fish) then I had to taste it. I asked twice for my wine and took a third asking to get it. All excuses not good enough. 2 hours later we had only finished our main course, service bad. Left and had a coffee and dessert at the rocks. All every one could say was "bonjour", which was a little strange in Sydney.I would not go back again, second visit, and the beds was too soft then, I ended up sleeping in a chair and used a foot stool. Ask my wife she will confirm this.

We love the Sydney Sofitel but we had 2 hick ups - the check in was not a good experience due to the consultant almost ignoring us and being quite rude and then we called room service who never came to our room but otherwise it was a very comfortable and enjoyable time.

Great location, best beds and staff very helpful. Rooms are nicely decorated but getting a bit tired. Lobby is beautiful with gorgeous flowers and a wonderful scent. I stay whenever I visit Sydney. The only thing that is missing, is a view of the water!

the staff were very friendly and helpful - was a really nice hotel - very clean and fresh lookingThe breakfast was very nice, The only thing i would like to see different is a bit more decorating in the rooms - a plant or something would make all the difference- just makes it feel a bit impersonal.

We were using our free night (part of Accor's Advantage Plus membership), so really have no complaints. If we were full paying customers I would have said that there was nothing outstanding about the service, however, I also couldn't fault it. The only criticism of our stay was our dining experiences at the Garden Court Restaurant - not the food though, the food was fabulous! However, we had a problem with a wine we ordered which was corked (imported with a cork), where the young waiter proceeded to avoid us and didn't come back at all to discuss what we wanted to do about it. Finally we managed to get the attention of another waiter, who promptly whisked the wine away, smelled it, confirmed that it was "terrible" and then quikly brought us out another bottle (Australian with a twist top!), which was delicious. We also felt that the decor was very wrong for dining at night time - it lacked intimacy and warmth and was more akin to a breakfast or high tea conservatory. This ended up being a positive though, when we returned for breakfast the next morning!

We always enjoy staying here. Wonderfully comfortable bed, a well presented hotel and friendly obliging staff. One downside - we returned to the hotel at 10:00 pm after a show and looking forward to drinks & supper. Sadly could not get any food unless by room service.

The Sofitel is a fine quality hotel in a great location. We were attending a play at the opera house so it was ideal and not far to walk. The luxury room was very nicely appointed, the beds were outstandingly comfortable. We ate at the restaurant and the staff were most attentive and the food very tasty. A compliment to the hotel. We would definitely stay at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth again.

Just an overnight stay. Good location for my business needs. Clean and well priced. The only poor note related to breakfast. Tea and coffee required waiter service which was so slow that despite repeated requests I never received a cup of tea with my breakfast. I eventually gave up and made one in my room.

Sofitel Wentworth is conveniently located in the heart of the CBD. The hotel has courteous staff who are always offering to assist their customers. Dining at the Courtyard restaurant has always been a highlight, whether it were breakfast or dinner. The lounge on the groundfloor also has excellent service and food. The rooms have the usual comforts of Sofitel. A comfortable and memorable stay in Sydney it was.

I thought the cost of the car parking was excessive @$46.50 per night considering the cost paid for the room.I was charged $40.00 for breakfast on the day I arrived, although we arrived after breakfast - 1.00 PM. I notified the hotel when I arrived home. I was told that they would credit my bank with that cost, this has not happened yet.There is an amount of $66.99 pending payment on my master card for the 6th. may I am not sure what it was for but assume this will be delated as i paid in full by eftpos.There was no detail on the invoice about the night I paid for in advance, I take it I will get the A club points for that cost.

I enjoyed the freindly service, and qaulity of the food and beverages. The room was clean and well appointed and the hotel is in an ideal position, not too far from public, transport, the city centre and the harbour. I was disapointed with my roo which was hot and airless.

would recommend staying here primarily based on the professional service you receive when staying here. Room was good, the Sofitel beds I always rate and the Restuarant was supperb. The Coq Au Vin was brilliant and their wine is served in a generous pour.Found the hotel so good I rebooked for 2 days later and stayed there again when I was again in Sydney.Only issue I had was that i was located both nights in a room next to the lifts and was awoken a few times by the opening and closing of the lift doors as they were noisy. Would be a major issue for a light sleeper.

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Excellent hotel. Expensive as you would expect but good on the most part.."

This was my first time staying at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth and I was pleasantly suprised. Service was pretty good on the most part, although my room was not cleaned one of the days of my stay (1 out of 5 days)) and mini bar only topped up at my request which was a little frustrating.That said, beyond those oversights the hotel staff were great. Everything I requested for both business and personal purposes was promptly attended and the staff were pretty friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were well maintained and the Junior Suite I stayed in had enough room to be able to comfortably work. Additionally, the bed I was extremely comfortable and made for a great night's sleep.Overall, a good experience although I may stay even closer to George Street next time for even greater convenience and better proximity for extra-hotel facilities. I would have no hesitation on recommendin this hotel.

A friend and I were in Sydney to see a show at the Opera House and had a one night stay at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.We found it to be an excellent venue in all respects, particularly the location which was very central and within walking distance to many of Sydney's city attractions as well as giving us excellent access to public transport.We would definitely stay there again.

This is the second time we have stayed here and again could not find a fault. Excellent restaurant. Great location to walk around Sydney City. Overnight parking though I feel is expensive at $46.50 a night.

Have stayed in other Hotels in Sydney and been disapointed on return visits. Loved Sofitel Wentworth. The Reception Staff were exceptional. Had Two stays in three weeks and our return visit was better than our first visit if that is possible. Have recommended this Hotel already. Will definitely be back. Excellent location.
