Mercure Bergamo Palazzo Dolci: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Business Trip to Bergamo"

26th April 2012, james_vaughan, Oxford, United Kingdom

I was travelling on business to Brescia and Bologna, my first night was at Bergamo, so I needed a hotel close to the Airport but also needed to be in the city. I enjoyed my stay at Mecure Bergamo and found the hotel easy to find, clean and well located.

Mercure Bergamo Palazzo Dolci: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Highly recommended"

15th August 2011

We booked the hotel for an overnight stay before moving onto Milan as we had flown into Bergamo late evening. The Hotel is close the train station and also within walking distance to the Funicular up to the old city. Very clean rooms and reception areas, modern facilities and all the staff we met were helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. Bergamo is a beautiful city and worth a visit.

Mercure Bergamo Palazzo Dolci: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Mercure August 1"

7th August 2011, Oejersjoe

Good location and quite easy to get from the airport by car. Walking distance to the "old city". Nice hotel and staff. Clean room, lobby etc.Nice breakfast and good service.Maybe the beds were little too hard.

Mercure Bergamo Palazzo Dolci: 3.0 out of 5 stars "The worst of Mercure hotels"

5th August 2011, Riga

problems with sink in room No.311, broken conditioner in room No.412. No slippers. Early breakfast packet consisted of 1 thin small slice of ham, 1 small thin slice of cheese, 1 apple, 1 yoghurt, 1 small bottle os still water. This Mercure Bergamo hotel corresponds to a 3 star hotel as maximum, not 4!

Management responseDear Sirs, Thank you for having took time to write us, your comments helps us to improve our quality and service. I am very sorry reading about the problems you had in your rooms, I assure you that this is not our normal standard of quality. I feel sorry also that you didn't like our breakfast box; early in the morning we don't have any croissant or cakes because they arrive fresh avery morning from the bakery. Normally we do not offer sleepers in our standard room but only in our Privilege Room. I hope this will not change your opinion and we will be glad on welcoming you again in our hotel. Always at your disposal. Best Regards

Mercure Bergamo Palazzo Dolci: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Can't Get Better Than This!"

7th June 2011, RoseDenver_CO, Denver, CO

I stayed at the Mercure Bergamo Palazzo Dolci recently. I had flown into Bergamo and was planning to travel into Milan for two days and also do a little sightseeing in Bergamo. I had changed my hotel reservation three times, from a B&B in Citi Alta and then from an inexpensive hotel that said they were close to the train station (they weren't) to this hotel. Everything about this hotel was EXCELLENT. Where do I start? First, they let me check-in to my room at 8:30 in the morning. The room was clean, very tastefully decorated, large,, with a large bed that had a large mattress (not a split mattress), two balconies, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom, free wi-fi, a large safe in the closet, small refrigerator that held the "mini bar", but had extra room for a few items and vaulted ceilings that were about 15-18' high. The air conditioning was also wonderful after walking in the sun for 6-7 hours. the desk staff was always friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was fantastic. But, even better than all of this, was the LOCATION. It is one block from the train station! I walked to catch a train at 5:00 in the morning and felt perfectly safe. And, after returning from Milan each day it was so easy to walk a block and be "home". I would not even consider staying anywhere else in town The bus stop to Citi Alta was right across the street. Everything was easy staying here. In fact, after staying at this hotel, I would definitely look into staying at Mercure hotels in other locations.

Mercure Bergamo Palazzo Dolci: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Nice stay in Bergamo"

29th March 2011, Bergamo

The hotel is very good and this was my second stay there. It is just 2 blocks from the railway station so if you do not have to much luggage it is an easy walk. Rooms very quite, clean and good sized. Breakfast somewhat expensive but there is a cafe just outside the hotel where you can get coffee and a croissant if you are not a big eater. It is on one of the main roads and you can take a but up to Citti Alta very easily.
