ibis Leeds Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Leeds"

2nd May 2012, fiona48-12, Dundee, United Kingdom

hotel and staff excellent, don't park half way up hill its for permit holders only and the sign for it is half way along the road so you don't see it. The car park across from the hotel is the safest bet, but you may need to phone the company as the parking machines wasn't working

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "My regular Leeds hotel"

17th April 2012, Anne_Hudson, Horsley, United Kingdom

I use IBIS at Leeds as my regular business hotel. This is because I have consistently received friendly service, a clean room, a comfortable bed and a quiet room (in spite of being near a busy road). Additionally, the hotel is walking distance from my work and the town centre. A good value hotel.

It is very important to both my team and I that we offer a consistent level of service and after reading your comments I feel that we are defiantly on the right track. Over the next few months you will see a number of changes to Ibis as we will be introducing new beds and bedding so I look forward to your feedback. I have no doubt that you will not be disappointed.Once again thank you for your review and your continued supportSarah Tomlinson

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Value"

11th April 2012, London, United Kingdom

Booked via the Accor system, and got a very chepa deal (£28), so can't really complain about anything. The man on reception was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and light, and everything was there when needed and in working order. The rooms were soundproof (there was a party going on that I could hear in the hallway, but not in the room itself) and checking in and out could not be simpler. The only downside was that the bed was a little uncomfortbale. A tiny bit too hard and felt like it was sloping downwards from the middle, but for the price there were absolutely no complaints from me.

Management responseDear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Ibis Leeds Centre. It sounds like you had an enjoyable stay with us but I was disappointed to read that you found our bed uncomfortable. Unfortunately the firmness of a bed is a matter of personal preference but our beds is something that we have been working on over the last couple of months. As part of our new and exciting global rebranding programme all of our hotels will be introducing a new Ibis bed which is amazing. I do hope that we can welcome you back to Ibis Leeds in the next couple of months so that you will be able to try it out for yourself.Thank you again Sarah Tomlinson

ibis Leeds Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Leeds Overnight Stay"

26th March 2012, Dublin, Ireland

Second time to stay in the ibis Leeds, the service from the front of the house staff is super, always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable and quite. The hotel is located on the bus route from the Leeds Bradford airport (The bus accepts euro's) and a short walk to the city centre. Elland Road (LUFC) is appox 30mins walk. The breakfast in the hotel is excellent, fresh food and sets you up nicely for the day.

ibis Leeds Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Weekend in Leeds"

18th March 2012, Whitby, United Kingdom

Excellent service all staff very friendly & very helpful. We will certainly use Ibis Hotels again. Considering it is located on avery busy roundabout once we were inside the hotel there was very little noise from the outside it certainly didn't bother us as we said how quiet it was. The price for it's location to the city centre was very good and with breakfast included although it wasn't anything special you could certainly fill up on the continental side of it if your not keen on buffet style cooked breakfast. At least you can choose to have as little or as much as you like.

ibis Leeds Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Faulty Door Lock"

28th February 2012

When I returned to the 11th floor hotel room at about midnight I could not get into the room I returned to reception where my access card was 'fixed' but on returning to my room on the 11th floor I could still not obtain access so I returned to reception. I was then accompanied by the receptionist back to my room when access was finally obtained the receptionist then spent about 20 minutes trying to fix the lock before finally accepting defeat and allocating me a new room whereupon I had to gather all my belongings and move to the 8th floor. The purpose of my stay was to ensure that I was as well rested as possible for a busy day at work and an early start on the Friday, knowing I would be late back on Thursday night. Any bebnefit I gained from satying in Leeds was wiped out by not being able to get to sleep for more than an hours after I got back to the hotel - I was at Breakfast before 7am on the Friday but far from well rested having had just over four and a half hours' sleep.

Management responseDear GuestThank you for taking the time to write a review. I was most disappointed to read that your stay did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately where technology is concerned we are often in the hands of the gods. We already have in place a planned preventative maintainence regime where all our bedroom locks are cleaned and serviced on a regular basis but sometimes faults happen which are out of our control and we have to react accordingly. I was glad to read that my team provided another room and I hope that this does not deter you from stay at Ibis Leeds Centre in the futureSarah Tomlinson

ibis Leeds Centre: 5.0 out of 5 stars "A short break"

27th February 2012, seajoytyne, Tyne and Wear

A very friendly hotel, clean and comfortable with attentive staff, very good for a budget hotel. A short walk to centre of town and a very nice Pizza Express just over the bridge. We ate one of the nights in the hotel and the food was very good at a reasonable price. We had no trouble leaving our suitcases and they even had a dedicated room to leave them safely in. Highly recommended, we would stay there again.

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Short Business stay"

6th February 2012, Leeds, United Kingdom

Ibis does exactly what it says on the tin, cheap, clean and reliable, with no fuss or frills added onto the price. Would stay there again, however carpark is a public one and needs to be paid for after 7:30am, which could be a bind if not there on business.

View management response »

Management responseThank you for your review and I am glad that you had an enjoyable stay with us. For future stays there is now a new tariff for the car park which allows you to pay in 24 hour instalments so that you do not need to go out at 07.30 in the morning to top up your parking. We have details in reception should require further information.I hope that we can welcome you back soon to Ibis Leeds CentreSarah Tomlinson

ibis Leeds Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Lifts"

25th January 2012, Stowmarket, United Kingdom

We stay at the leeds IBIS regularily and are dissapionted with the room access.Since November you only have1 lift. The problems really arise when you are busy, We come back to the hotel after a hard day, carrying our heavy work tools,Computer bag and so on.We call the lift, wait until it arrives then go to our rooms to find the card will not let us in.We then retrace our steps, arrive at reception to find the staff already checking in other gusets, we wait ........ then our cards are activated again and back to the now very busy lift.Sorry I am going on but you did ask.

View management response »

Management responseDear GuestThank you for taking the time to write a review, it’s always great to hear from new and existing guests. Please accept my sincere apologies for the problems we have experienced with the lifts over the last couple of months. Unfortunately we had a considerable amount of damage caused by a guest who was stuck in the lift. I am pleased to let you know that the lifts are now fixed and back in operation. I was also concerned to read that you are always having problems with your key cards. We have just had them all serviced and cleaned and I will remind our reception team to ensure that they are cutting the keys for the correct number of nights. It is also advisable to ensure that the key card is stored in the key card holder we provide and away from electronic devices such as mobile phones, as this can clear the memory strip on the back of the card.I do hope that we can continue to welcome you to Ibis Leeds CentreSarah Tomlinson

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good location for Leeds centre and station"

21st January 2012, Archie3033, South Brent, Devon

Try for a room on the upper floors for a great view in all directions. The front desk staff are friendly and welcoming, with good Ibis catering. Just a ten minute walk from the city centre, and excellent value for money.

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Visitng Leeds Uni. with daughter"

2nd October 2011, Geneva, Switzerland

I often stay here when visiting my daughter at Leeds Uni., as it's good value for money. The staff are always pleasant and professional. The only drawback is the parking, oppposite the hotel, which involves having to be there at 07:30hrs to buy a ticket..

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Review"

22nd September 2011, Liverpool, United Kingdom

Good hotel, good location but surrounded by student accommodation so noisy at night. Pillows were too hard so were very uncomfortable hence the poor review re sleep quality. Breakfast was very good, well stocked and very tasty.

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Leeds"

17th September 2011, Oswaldtwistle, United Kingdom

Budget hotel near the city center, efficient staff with friendly service.Rooms basic but clean and well decorated, small bathroom pod which is adequate. Although there is a bar/restaurant available, we did not use during our one night visit. Would recommend as decent accommodation as cheaper alternative to more expensive central hotels.

ibis Leeds Centre: 3.0 out of 5 stars "IBIS LEEDS"

4th September 2011, Sheffield, United Kingdom

OK for a budget Hotel but car parking is a problem - costs a small fortune to stay in the pay and display across the road. Not in a great area but only 15mins walk to the centre. Stayed at Jury's lasy year which was more expensive but better value.

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A good quality budget hotel"

25th July 2011, London

I`ve stayed at the Ibis Leeds on many occasions with work and have never been disa pointed by the quality, cleanliness and service . The staff and management of this hotel are excellent . The buffet breakfast is varied and good value.

ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Hotel leeds - good for short stays"

15th July 2011, Belfast

Overall very good - large, clean room and helpful staff. Also good location (better than I had expected) - within 10 minutes walk from the station. The price was also very decent and the shower was powerful. The only niggles I had were the awful smell every time we flushed the toilet or ran the tap, and the lack of spare blankets as I woke up in the middle of night too cold and ended up putting on a jumper and getting back in as there were no extra blankets.Overall I would recommend it as a good, clean hotel for when you aren't planning to spend much time in the hotel room. It did the job for us and I would consider it as a possibility if staying in Leeds again.

Management responseDear Guest,I was sorry to read that you were cold during your stay with us. For future stays with us, we do offer 24 hour reception, so that should you have any specific requirements we can be of assistance whatever the time day or night. I have passed you comments on regarding the odour in the bathroom to my Maintenance team to investigate further. I will ensure that your comments are shared with my team and I hope that we can welcome you again to Ibis Leeds CentreSarah Tomlinson, General Manager
