ibis Leeds Centre: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good City Hotel"

Easy to spot the Hotel, it has 12 storeys, but went round the one-way system twice to get in the right lane for the car park ! Friendly and efficient check-in and was given advice about the parking which is operated by the council ,situated directly opposite the hotel. Large rooms with a larger shower room than many Ibis hotels. Coffee/tea making equipment which is welcome, the room and in fact the whole place is spotless. Restaurant is open for long hours, snacks available 24 hours , the choice at breakfast was good and included traditional cooked items. We found it very quiet being on level 7 despite it`s busy location. The only minus point is the cost of the in-room wi-fi package ,but I would certainly chose this hotel again.

I booked this hotel 20 days in advance for 25 quid (twin room) - great value, needed a bargain as out on a work doo & did not want to get last train back to sheffield.rooms were basic, as you would expect clean and everything you need for a short stay.central location - taxi fiver if you did not want to wald to town - would recommend and stay again. Only complaint i would have is no direct hotel parking available, someone had a car in our party and was sent off to a pay n display car park, just to be aware.

Had a fab weekend stay with family at this hotel. Excellent customer service provided by Katie at reception, and waiter in restaurant (sorry didn’t get your name). We ate in restaurant first night of our stay, the food was very good and plentiful also well served.Bedroom very clean and comfortable, we found the housekeeping staff very helpful. On the whole an excellent experience for the money paid.

this hotel is 10 mins walk from Leeds city centre and was perfect for what i needed.bed was comfortable, the shower room was excellent, it was clean, staff were friendly and everything was easy from booking to check in to check outperfect - thank you

I regularly stay at this hotel when working in Leeds. It is a modern and clean 'no frills' hotel, with a moderately priced restaurant and good value broadband option. I have stayed at other similarly priced hotels in the area and my preference is the Ibis by far.

To start with, I found the staff amazingly friendly and courteous, obviously they have a great staff-training scheme within the company. But I was shocked to discover that the HIGH-SPEED internet promised when I booked my room, was disgracefully bad. I was in the city on business, which, due to the lack of internet access I expected, I could not do the work I needed to do and could not get my required work done.The reason I booked in the first place was due to the assured internet acces, so this hotel really needs to change something about their misleading paid-for services which are, in fact, over the top, considering the mahority of hotels offer this service for free. BUDGET hotel? This is NOT so. The Internet access I paid EXTRA for was grossly mis-sold, with the WORST bandwidth I have ever come across on my travels! I have never even seen bandwidth blow 350 KBPS, so presuming that this is the average, high-speed would clearly be above this number. What I got was less than 100, and this is a shame because I paid EXTRA for a service that I did NOT receive.. My room was lovely, although a bit tight on the drinks-making facilities. I would stay at this location again, provided they sort out their internet service, because as far as trading standards go, the false advertising AND mis-selling of a service do not enamour me, and I certainly shall NOT be recommending this venue to any of my acquaintances, friends, family, or otherwise.
