"Good Hotel with bad room service"

Location was ok, but not outstanding. Staff was friendly but not experienced. Rooms were very simple.Breakfast buffet and restaurant very good. I was missing some more choices in the minibar. Did not get the aircondition in my room up and running so it was matching the temperature I would like to see.

This hotel is very well placed, right next to the S-bahn and just a few stops from the centre. It was good, clean and with helpful staff.The only fault was a persistent disgusting smell of drains from the cold water inflow. This smell was noticeable in the streets in some areas also, so maybe it wasn't entirely the hotel's fault - although it should have been possible to do some purification. Alternatively, providing a supply of bottled drinking water free of charge would have been helpful. We bought our own for making tea, cleaning our teeth etc. as we were very afraid of getting ill from the tap water. A minor blemish - but hugely worrying. We mentioned it to the hotel, which had provided no alert about this absolutely unmissable problem but nothing happened.

Very impresssed with this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was allowed into my room early and they looked after my bag when I went off to do the marathon. The room was comfortable if not over large. The hotel is located next to the S Bahn stattion Tiergarten. Trains run through to the Hauptbahnhof in 5 mins or so. There is a good restaurant area at Savignyplatz a couple of stops away in the opposite direction. I will certainly stay there again and will bring the family.

We stayed at the Novotel Berlin Am Tiergarten for two nights. It was in a good location (next to the Tiergarten S-Bahn) - convenient to the center and many other locations. The hotel had good general facilities and the room had a queen size bed and pull-out sofa. The bathroom was large and very clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.The front desk was very friendly and efficient. I would stay at this hotel again.
"Meh, is the best description"

Meh, that's all there is to it. This hotel has decent rooms, but if anything they remind me of a Homewood Suites in the US, and not a real four star hotel. The food is okay, but not that good and the bed is extremely uncomfortable and the bathroom very cramped. In addition the papers throughout the room were on pads and were clearly not switched between guests, I'd expect new stuff when I'm staying in a four star hotel. They also failed to provide me anything as a A|Club Gold member even though I am entitled to a room upgrade if available (there were better rooms available). I would have been very upset if I had paid full price for this hotel but I received a very large discount through A|Club. The only thing they do right that the Grand Hyatt Berlin does wrong is provide two bars of soap in the restroom.

Novotels are kinda soulless, but they have big, comfortable and very well insulated rooms. This is a good hotel, especially when you can get a good advance internet rate including breakfast. Right next to the s-bahn, easy to get anywhere.

I am an Accor Advantage Plus member and was not really impressed with the quality of the service of this hotel. This is probably due to to the fact that we came during a very busy check out period time and staff were not very friendly or helpful at all and looked stressed. Also when we check into the room the amenities was very poor. There were only 1 Darjeeling tea bag, 2 Peach Tea Bags, 1 Coffee Sachet and 1 Cocoa sachet. I was pretty dissapointed as I love my chamomile and peppermint tea and thought that it was a bit stingy. There was also only one soap provided. The next day, the soap was not replaced and no new soaps were provided and they only gave us another darjeeling tea bag.On the positive side, the room was very spacious and it is only about 2 train stops from the main HBF train line so it is very convenient. The price was very good as well. Check out service was a bit better. I won't be in a rush to come back to this hotel. Pretty dissapointed.

Great location with local bar around the corner and restaurant/beer garden 5 mins walk into the park. S-Bahm station 1 min from hotel. Very good breakfast and cocktails at bar. Romms and bathrooms are very nice, friendly staff.

Stay in Berlin for a short Business trip. Nice hotel, clean and large room, reasonably located.Would definitely recommend this to others, would stay here again. A plus is the nearby park where you can have a meal or drink while sitting outside.

Good points: clean rooms, good breakfast, nice staff, clean premises, closer access to S-Bahn and to downtown, beautiful view from the roof garden over the park and Postdamer PlatzWeak points: expensive internet access, no swimming pool, mixed spa facilities (sauna, steam room), some of the rooms have ugly views and are quite noisy
