Excellent little hotel, with great ground floor units, good soundproofing and excellent check in staff. The area however is industrial and when I arrived about 4.30pm very very busy, roads back up traffic everywhere. I attempted to walk across the bridge to get something to eat, impossible so went long way round, to walk/bike path, this involved walking through industrial area, big semi’s were parking up for night etc. So great location if you have a car but don’t actually want to go anywhere, until later when traffic resolves. Not a good location if you are using a bicycle. This is my first stay at an IBIS that was so out of the way with nothing nearby and accessible for food etc.

We are also very happy to see that the room suited you during your stay. Our rooms are indeed very spacious, they have a total space of 16 m2, bathroom included. You have the possibility during your stay to enjoy a room on the ground floor or upstairs overlooking the garden or the car park. Our hotel is indeed located at the gates of the city of Lorient and our location allows you to access the various tourist sites of Morbihan by car. As you have pointed out, it is essential to use the car or use public transport to visit the surroundings. Several bus lines pass regularly near our hotel. Regarding a bike ride, many rides are near our hotel and allow you to visit beautiful places. However, it is necessary to drive a few minutes to enjoy these magnificent walks in the heart of nature. Spacious and clean rooms with good soundproofing. Very basic but does the job for few nights! Very good for its price. Very fast internet also. Free parking on site. The only bad thing was that it was too hot and the rooms had no air-conditioning.

What really set this apart from the other budget places in similar areas was the friendly staff. Wouldn't have been out of place at a 4* place really - even with our very basic French the receptionist was more than willing to help and went out of her way to ensure we understood. The rooms aren't fancy but are clean and well kept. The bathroom was small but had all the basics you could need. Towels are provided but bring your own toiletries. Excellent value for the price. Could have done with more pillows as they're really quite thin. Short drive into Lorient itself is pretty convenient. Bed was comfy and the hotel was quiet.
