"Good service"
22nd May 2012, Melnourne, Melbourne, Australia
The location is very handy to the airport buses and MTR station. At times the price of the room is good value.
"too small for couple"

improve television reception (very poor signal) n improve wifi signal (very very bad) n your lift is very slow
"Meets need for basic rooms"
13th May 2012, Novacatz, Bangkok, Thailand
Nice location that is still reasonably central but a bit away to save cost. The rooms are basic and could be a bit cheaper given what you get but transportation links are good.Stayed many times over a few years and have noticed more mainland Chinese guests who are a bit noisy and corridor noise in mornings tends to be disturbing early
"Bad bad Experience"
12th May 2012, orientalswordsman, Sydney, Australia
We've got given a smoking room on level 29, the smell was so horrible as soon as the lift opened, we nearly got knocked out by it. The feeling that being poisoned wasn't pleasant. I don't understand why smoking is still allowed in the first place if Accor Hotel Chain really cares about the wellbeing and safety of their guests. We finally got through and was able to speak to the reception after several attempts, but only got told they were unable to move us to another room due to overwhelming bookings they have had on the night. The reception also blamed us not to request non-smoking room when making the booking, I am an A-Club member and my hotel preference has always been non-smoking rooms, so apparently this is useless if the information didn't get to use on future bookings. We were told that if we like they'd try to move us the next day but we have to check out our smoking room before 12pm and take all our luggages to the reception and store with them, after 3pm we can return to see if a new room would be available. Ibis Hong Kong has more than 30 levels but only two really small lifts, the reception is on level 1, to get in and out wouldn't be fast and convenient. Once you have unpacked and with stuffs everywhere you wouldn't want to pack and move for only one more night unless you have to. They did call us at 9:30 pm the 2nd night to offer us another room, we were exhausted from walking and shopping, and we were in bed already, so we told them it was a bit too late to move. Alright, pros and cos of the hotel -Pros - 1) Good location, North Point MTR station is less than 10 meters from the hotel, if you travel by bus from and to Hong Kong Int'l airport bus no. A11 is right across road from the hotel.2) Staffs are quiet efficient;3) Free Wi-FiCons -1) Extremely small room and small beds, you won't move and sleep well if you have two people in one room;2) Took forever for the lift to arrive and sometimes it's hard to squeeze in the lift;3) Shower was so small and if you are tall and big you will have trouble. For extra USD30 you will find a much better hotel somewhere else and have quality sleep. If you are a non-smoker and decide to stay in this hotel, make sure to select non-smoking room and call the hotel if you forgot to select the option, which would be possible when you are in a hurry.
"Fantastic location"

IBIS North Point is in a great location. Next to the North Point MTR, 5 minutes walk to the bus station and 7 minutes walk to ferry point to Hong Hum station.

Management responseDear TripAdvisor Member,Thank you very much for your comments indeed!Let me also add, that our hotel is conveniently located for travelers coming from Hong Kong Airport too, by taking bus A11. The end station of the bus is located right in front of our property, the trip takes about an hour and the cost is only HKD 40 per person.Thank you again and best regards,Adam HippGeneral Manager

"Can be better"
4th May 2012, waifong294, Sydney, Australia
Air conditioner in the room not powerful enough. It takes too long to cool the room up.Bathroom too small but its expected as space is precious in Hong Kong.Location is close to all amenities. Airport bus is just across the roadService is excellent if you can speak the language but for a foreigner that can't speak Cantonese or Mandarin is another experience as not everyone that works in the reception area has a high command of the English language.

Management responseDear TripAdvisor Member,Thank you very much for your review! We will certainly look into the matter of the air conditioning and will make sure to reduce their sound level. Also, please be assured that we regularly organize English courses for our service staff to improve the level of service in English too.Thank you again and best regards,Adam HippGeneral Manager

"not as good as expected"
27th April 2012, funfish66, Hong Kong, China
Having stayed in your Pullman Hotel in Dongguan, I was quite disappointed in the small rooms and inadequate elevator service in this out of the way hotel.

"Great Value - Clean and tidy!"
16th April 2012, Stavr0s45, London, United Kingdom
Surprisingly spacious room, clean and functional. Free WIFI in room and throughout hotel is a real bonus. Good air con. Great view over harbour to Kowloon. Close to MTR underground station and ferry. Good value breakfast operating at reasonable times for holiday makers. Must be one of the best value hotels in Hong Kong. Staff friendly and helpful. No complaints and would stay again.
"Disapppointing"
14th April 2012, TPGolfer, Hong Kong
Disappointed with this stay. The rooms were tiny but clean, with the hospital-like ceramic tiled bathrooms. The check-in took way too long and there weren't even umbrellas available for guests for rainy days. There is no concierge service for these types of requests so you end up waiting behind the lengthy check-in service just to hear a 'no' without any sort of apology for being found wanting in this area.
"Not a bad stay"
12th April 2012, Singapore, Singapore
Decent but small room for short stay though the location is a bit far from the shopping areas but else it is very accessible via the North Point MTR, a few steps away from the Exit A. Love the free wireless internet in the room. A plus point for the hotel.
"Test Run"
10th April 2012, Sydney, Australia
Perfect location - right next to subway, ferry & bus + all taxis knew where to find it.Strret kaundry sevice & street market around the corner.Available meals were good.Room tiny but adequate & made up each day.Perfect view of the harbour.Toilet strugled to flush. They have a 15 minute "fix it" policy. No food after hours although advertised on posters all around the hotel.Noisy air conditioning.Slow lift.Excellent massage available.English very good.24 hour reception.Travel desk available but not very friendly. We would be happy stay there again because of the view, location & price.
"Very Good value and that view!"
3rd April 2012, cathaypacific, cathaypacific
Always worth spending the extra to have the harbour-facing view from your window. Right next to the hotel is a local laundry service in the side alley which will save on hotel laundry costs. Biggest negative is the poor selection of TV channels provided. Breakfast OK and evening meal in the restaurant worth trying once.
"Small, clinical room. Poor value for money"
1st April 2012
I have stayed in many different Accor hotels throughout the world and this is by far the worst. Poor value for money. It didn't bode well when I received an e-mail saying that my room would not be available after 1800 hours unless I gave my card detaiuls. I was unwilling to do this is an open e-mail and in the end (at a cost of US$ 12) I phoned them through from my hotel in Cambodia. This was in spite of having a firm booking. Uncomfortable bed in small single room.
"Hard Bed"
30th March 2012, Perth
Great hotel in a location close to the MTR train networkVery easy to get to the shopping spots and townOnly comment is the single beds we slept on are very hard matteress
"Ibis North Point"
30th March 2012, Melbourne, Australia
Good hotel, smallish rooms, very clean and tidy, friendly staff, but the slowest lifts in Hong Kong, great access to the train.
"Very small rooms!"

- Location: quite far away from Central- Room: very, very small room, two persons have difficulties being in the room at the same time
