"Family stay at Ibis budget."
22nd September 2013, sergrant, Matamata, New Zealand
Rooms are clean but there is not even an electric jug in there to make a coffee. We had two rooms to accomodate our family of 7, unfortunately they were on different levels of the building. this provided my children with a bit of exercise running up and down the stairs as there are no lifts in the building. Compact would be a great description, but again they were clean..the day we arrived the team were in the middle of transfering from a portable office back into their actual office due to refurbishment. It really was chaotic, but the ladies in the office still offered to order our meal in for us for the evening and by the time this arrived, everthing had been cleaned and all the extraneous wires, building extras etc had disappeared. Our family sat in the lobby area at the tables there to eat our meal.Shuttle service excellent and the location to the airport made the early morning start just that much better.
"Terrible location, cramped common areas, noisy, overpriced."
21st September 2013, Sally B, Jakarta, Indonesia
What else can one say. Officious attendant. Out of the way in an industrial area. Am an Accor member and have been for many years was allocated a space on the bottom floor right at the front may as well have been in the middle of the main freeway. It didn't participate n the Accor points things anyway. Reception common area very small and no facilities at all. Very overpriced for what it was.

True to the Ibis Formula this hotel is great value. Very friendly greeting and assistance from on-site managers. Beaut location, only a quick taxi trip to new Portside restaurant area and likewise to the Airport in the morning. Consistent predictable quality make this brand a known entity. Unless you insist on a bells and whistles overnight stay then this place is the way to go.

We were very unhappy with the size of the room. We couldn't move,I had to walk side ways along the wall to be able to get into bed.We were on the bottom floor with the car park right out side the window and every one could see right into the room.Would never stay in one of these hotels again. The old saying is you get what you pay for.It was cheap.

Selected this accommodation as economy class and reasonably close to Airport. No restaurant, limited to vending machine snacks or take-away if nourishment required. Two flights of walk-up stairs - no lift. A fellow traveler was charged twice the credible taxi-fare of $17.30 from International terminal. Shuttle bus reasonable at $14 per booking.
"Fantastic Value for money"

This hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. Its close to the Airport but very quiet. Rooms were small, but beds and bedding were really comfortable. The whole building was extremely clean inside and out, even though they were renovating, and you were still welcome to sit in the "reception" area and watch TV and have a cuppa. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it.
"You get what you pay for: Budget accomodation"
12th September 2013, dfindlater, Invercargill
It was definitely what they advertise it as:budget. It was clean and the bed was good and staff helpful but it is Definitely only stop over accomodation if you are wanting to stay near the airport for an early morning flight out. The rooms are very small and there is no tea/coffee making facilities in your room. You would not want to stay more than one night as there is no where to sit. In hindsight you may be able to get a motel for a similiar price which would give you more room. Overall though you get what you pay for.

Paid for 4nights .extra charge gave me the flexibility to cancell. Read the fine print carefully as the conditions are in the small print.i thought with 2days notice I could cancell the last night of my stay but no silly me ,didn't read the fine print.Never again.

We used the hotel as it was economical and well located for airport .It fulfilled our needsand was clean and easy access at any time without paying for 24hour reception. Was able to take wife to plane at near midnight without taking a long time. Hotel was good for cost
"Great location but noisy"
4th September 2013, lyndah27, Cessnock, Australia
Great location near airport but its a very basic hotel (you get what you pay for)! Rooms are tiny, No fridge or cupboard space. Noisy near highway and you constantly hear people coming and going at all hours (I'm assuming to catch flights, etc). But its a cheap and clean hotel in a good spot right near the airport which is perfect if you are staying a night whilst awaiting a flight.
"Budget is the right word, but good nonetheless"
3rd September 2013
I have to commend the staff of this hotel. They were all very welcoming and helpful. One staff member even chased up our booked airport taxi for us when it was late in the morning. Our room was very clean but much smaller than the photos on the website make it look. That said, we weren't expecting a palace. Our daughter absolutely loved sleeping in a bunk bed as well, so that was a plus. The walls were somewhat thin and we could hear the comings and goings of other guests. This didn't bother us too much, but if you're easily woken at night it might be best to take earplugs. The only real problem we had was that the hotel was undergoing renovations on the day we were there. It would have been nice to have been informed of the renovations in advance of our stay. It appeared that they had been ongoing for some time, and I suspect they were underway when we made our online booking. At that time, the hotel was advertised as having a dining area/breakfast room, and there was no indication of any disruption to this service. However, we arrived in the evening to be told that our options for food and drink were to: 1) order takeaway; 2) use the vending machines in the hallway; 3) use the free coffee/tea stand in the hallway; or 4) go out somewhere (but given we didn't have a car and the hotel was nowhere near any restaurants, this was not an option for us). We were a bit disappointed by this as we were travelling with a small child and so needed to make sure she got fed.So, we ordered takeaway pizza from a place called Budgie's, which was quite good and which we would recommend if you happen to be staying there. The hotel staff placed the order for us from reception, and the order was delivered directly to our room where we gave the money straight to the delivery person. We think the hotel got this part right as there is no chance of anyone getting short-changed that way.So all in all, budget is the right word for this hotel. The service was pleasant and efficient, but there are no frills at all. As such, it is the ideal place if you simply require a convenient place to rest your head before catching a flight out from Brisbane. If you are expecting fancy toiletries and fine dining, stay somewhere else.
"Beware of Airport Taxi Drivers"
2nd September 2013, 601breezy2013, Hobart, Australia
Receptionist on arrival was very helpful and professional. Beds were very comfortable with crisp clean white bedding. Room is small with no luxuries so prepare yourself. Most unpleasant thing was the taxi driver who ripped us off and told blatant lies. BEWARE!

I was a little apprehensive, the property having a "budget" title but I thought it was great!Close to airport, 20 mins drive to City at night. Room was smallish but did not need to be big for minimum stay. Friendly check in staff, very clean, modern. We made use of the food machine and microwave facility.
"Clean Budget room in need of better wifi."
28th August 2013, Jonum, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Rooms and walkway are a bit tight but clean. The wifi is VERY slow unless you buy the upgrade. The staff are very friendly and nice. The coffee, tea and sugar are removed after 10pm.The vending machines are great with many varieties especially when the restaurant is down for renovation.
"Ibis Brisbane Airport"
27th August 2013, KA942, Toowoomba, Australia
Found the motel conveniently located near the Brisbane Airport although lacking facilities for tea/coffee making, the comfortable room fitted our needs for a place to rest between flights. Another benefit is the service from Alpha parking to pick us up for transfer to the airport.
"one night in Brisbane"
22nd August 2013, rainer669, Rheinland-Pfalz
Good location for an early morning flight from Brisbane, because international Airport is just 15 mins to drive. The family rooms are very narrow, and the bunk bed was quite high, so we decided that the kids will not sleep their. Also no coffee and water heating possiblities in the room. The stuff was friendly.
