ibis budget Canberra (previously FORMULE 1): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Motel in Watson ACT"

3rd March 2013, colandpete, Castlemaine, Australia

A bit out of the way. Very basic but no complaints. Excellent value if you are on a tight budget. Staff were very helpful. It's not the sort of establishment that you would spend a month in. For an overnight stay it was just fine.

ibis budget Canberra (previously FORMULE 1): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good value option for a short stay in Canberra"

2nd March 2013, froggey, NSW Australia

Stayed here for one night. Had a very good value package including National Gallery exhibition tickets. The manager Glenn is excellent.Very good value for money for Canberra.Basic but clean room with efficient air conditioning. The hotel is a fair way away from the CBD but with a car this was not an issue for us. It is right on the highway and noise from the highway was an issue - rooms on the other side of the building would not have had this problem. The room was absolutely fine in size as was the bathroom for the amount paid for a one night stay. We would however stay somewhere else for a longer stay.

ibis budget Canberra (previously FORMULE 1): 1.0 out of 5 stars "Not Good Enough"

9th January 2013, talaash76, Melbourne, Australia

Two nights cost me just shy of $200. For that price to have a room with no bar fridge, not even a couple of washes of shampoo ($4 a wash if you want it from front desk) is a joke. Floors have no carpets and the floor boards were dirty, so I had to walk around with my shoes on all the time. On top of all that, terrible crowd of guests with loud noise till 3am.

ibis budget Canberra (previously FORMULE 1): 5.0 out of 5 stars "Good value for Money"

7th November 2012, Jorge70_09, Melbourne, Australia

You pay for what you get. Nice but small and just the basics clean room. Bed is a little hard, but otherwise fine for a short stay. It's close to a highway so the trafic might wake you up, if you are too sensitive to noises. We did not have problems on that regard. and I travel with a very fuzzy person. Staff is very friendly and they are ready 24 hrs a day if automatic check in does not work, which was our case; we checked fine. The Hotel is located some 6 km from city center but transportation is available close by. Did not have the breakfast but there are other options nearby.

ibis budget Canberra (previously FORMULE 1): 3.0 out of 5 stars "No storage"

22nd August 2012, Roses28, Armidale, Australia

It was strange that they did not allow us to store our luggages after we checked out. Our flight was still late in the day and we did not want to carry our luggages going around the city. They should have provided a storage room for the customers. In any other Formule 1 Motel, we always had no problem storing our luggages after we checked out. Also the hot water should be provided all hours.

ibis budget Canberra (previously FORMULE 1): 1.0 out of 5 stars "Poor Service and Breakfast overpriced"

10th June 2012, ksson, Parkes

Breakfast is $9 for toast and vending machined coffee. Mum had cataract operation and was unable to stay in the hotel. Being blind in 1 eye and a patch on the other i asked if i could park in 1 of the two empty disabled parking bays to get mum in and out safely. Was told no as i had no sticker on my window. Poor Service and would never stay there again.
