ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good Location"

11th April 2012

Have stayed here a few times. Great location. If you use stairway from multi car park it takes you to the main road and the bus stop. Only criticism, the amount of cigarette ends lying outside the hotel entrance.

ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "cheaper than a taxi home"

8th March 2012, John M, Glasgow, United Kingdom

Stayed at ETAP Glasgow for a night out, basic but had everything you needed except you only get 1 towel per person? anyway it is cheaper for me to stay there than it is to get a taxi home and it means you can have a night out in town without having to worry bout getting home

ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "great value for money"

1st March 2012, Kilmarnock, United Kingdom

defo would recommend hotel, was very cheap £18 and loads to do about Quay if you do not want to head into City Centre. The room is basic but clean and tidy and bed covers very clean. We went to the Chinese Panda Cusine in the Quay, wouldn't really recommend the restaurant, but had no complaints about the Hotel other than at the reception area, where they sell juice and snacks the fridges werent on and the juice was warm.

ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "a new brand for me"

29th February 2012, bayscott, brentwood

etap describes itself as ibis budget; think travelodge and you're on the right lines.i chose it because it was cheapish, reasonably well located and provided for my basic need - a bed for the night after attending an evening concert in glasgow. i did not make use of any of the eating facilities, but the room was perfectly ok and the staff friendly and helpful. recommended provided you understand what you're getting and book it early enough to get a low rate.

ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "february stay"

16th February 2012, stromness

Hotel was clean bright and fit for purpose. only two things to note one was that ALL the disabled parking spaces were taken by non badge holders, most being white vans , workmans and expensive cars. The second was some loud person shouting and banging on doors at 3am.Not the hotels fault, but disturbed ours and others sleep.

Unbeatable value for money - clean double room with hot shower for overnight stay, close to city centre. Easy to find and plenty of free parking. First time we've used Etap, but would definitely stay here again at this price !

ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Great Value and Good Location"

25th January 2012, Glasgow, United Kingdom

The room is small but then again so is the price. It has a good shower and comfortable bed as well as a tv with all of the Freeview channels. Overall I think this was great value for money particularly as you get to check in earlier (12.00) and out later (12.00) than virutally any other hotel. The location is only a 10 or 15 minute walk away from central Glasgow. The only gripe I have is the positioning of the bunk bed as this can cause some serious damage if you are trying to get romantic and I did bang my head a few times. PS there is no kettle so don't be thinking you can have a nice wee cup of tea in your room unless you bring it in.

The hotel provided a very good and clean room. The hotel staff were very helpful and provide advice and information when asekd. The hotel has easy access to the city centre and plenty of free parking. There were several restuarants and a multi-screen cinema all based within the parking area. The hotel is situated in the quay area of the city.

ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "OK hotel beds were a bit hard"

7th October 2011, London, United Kingdom

The hotel staff were very good and accommodating. they were renovating when we arrived and were given a newly renovated room . It was very nicely done, however it was just completed and the smell of paint was strong. we then went and asked for a new room and this was accompanied right away and in a very pleasant and cheerful manor. The second room was check and it smelled strong as well. we were then given another room and this one was not renovated yet and smelt fine. The rooms were clean and large enough for toe people. the outlay of the rooms is a bit strange (the shower was is the main part of the room) however it was no concern for us. The bed was very hard and we only had 3 pillows (however we did not ask for another once either) Overall it was a decent hotel and it worked for what it was. the room was cheep and the location was good.

ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 4.0 out of 5 stars "Handy Hotel - did what it said on the tin"

5th October 2011, Belfast, United Kingdom

The location was great for centre of Glasgow. Compared to other hotels in the centre this offerred free and secure parking which was a large plus point for our family. We enjoyed the shops and premises surrounding the hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful. They even provided a map of Glasgow for us to use. The rooms were basic as just described in the description. The beds and room were built for standard size families. We woudl recommend this hotel. Great Value.

ETAP HOTEL Glasgow (soon ibis budget): 3.0 out of 5 stars "Mix up with the bill led to confusion"

1st September 2011, Warrington, United Kingdom

I arrived with 2 colleagues and we were aware beforehand what to expect from the hotel. We had paid online in advance and on arrival were told that the room still needed to be paid for. I knew that the payment had already been made as it was showing on my bank statement, but the hotel insisted it had not been paid. They agreed to sort it out in the morning and eventually we got into the rooms. The next morning, they decided that it had been paid after all. This meant we had wasted a lot of time the night before when it had never been our error. Hotel is fine for a one night stay, cheap accommodation and good location. If you just need somewhere to sleep it is ideal.
