"Great value, fresh clean rooms"

Rooms are furnished in white and fresh green, which although 'modular' is attractive. Had a problem with our lock and our room was cheerfully changed. Even got a smoking room - not many of those about (attention all smokers!) Only downside - we tried to get a cup of tea late in the evening and no cup appeared in the machine, it just poured away. The next morning, we wanted tea and coffee and the service was a bit offhand. Although the person working there could see the machine wasn't working properly, and I explained about the lost tea, she refused to refund the money. Only euro 1.50, but annoying. Not the best service, although the night before the girl couldn't have been more ghelpful. But very good value.

nice clean hotel recently renovated. the pillows are not to my liking but everything else is great - but not for a long stay. great if you want a night or two at a very reasonable rate.

This was a new Etap Hotel. The room was compact, however, the double bed was very comfortable, the shower excellent and it had separate W.C. facilities. The location was very easy to find and there were plenty of restaurants close to hand. We stayed again on our return journey, but didn´t like the room so much this time - it had a bunk bed elevated over the double bed - very claustrophobic.

Just off the A20 with good car parking and recently updated rooms in pale green and white, good hot shower with coloured lights in the shower head, but bring your own shower gel/shampoo as only soap provided, and no hairdryer. Friendly late night receptionist. Opposite restaurant Poivre Rouge, next to Pat a Pan (for breakfast/snack), and close to Carrefour for refilling petrol before hitting the motorway.

If you travelling through France and need to break up your journey with a clean and simple room that has a good shower then look no further than Etap hotels. Loads of parking. Usually on outskirts of a major town and very convenient for the AutoroutesAll in all great value for money

Ideal stop over, just one minute from motorway. Plenty of choice for eating all within 500yards of hotel. No worries in finding a good place to eat Fter a long journey. Clean, comfortable beds, spacious.

Friendly lady at the desk, very helpful, everything worked in the hotel, wifi was tricky to login to but worked. The breakfast was good, plenty of everything, would like a choice of grown up cereal though! Room clean, beds comfortable, plastic toilet and shower cubicles not so nice though, would like a real bathroom. No aircon, so had to leave window open. Plenty of very local chain restaurants, 2 with discounts, the usual fare...Late night noise - lorries with air brakes, mcdonals locking up over the road, etc. so very hard to sleep with open window.

The hotel is in a very good location for the autoroute. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. There is a good range of restaurants, within walking distance of the hotel.The price paid for the room was very good value.

We originally chose this motel in 2009. Etap was recommended to us by our French language teacher, and Chateauroux is almost exactly a half way down France, and to our destination. We now stay here at least twice a year, i.e. going and coming back. We used to stay at Campanile, but we became dissatisfied with their service and, particularly, their restaurant. Etap rooms are scrupulously clean, their hot water is hot enough to brew tea with, and their breakfasts are excellent. Also, Etap give a voucher for a 15% discount at the Courtepaille restaurant, (wonderful food), which is just across the road.

Very handy-straight off the motorway north of Chatearoux. Surrounded by fast food outlets/restaurants with a large supermarket/24hr credit card filling station yards away. I could be wrong but there appears to be an entertainment arena close by(le Tarmac!), so be aware. The hotel was displaying a full sign and turning people away. Of the two rooms one stank(unbleached toilet and shower) and had a heater hanging off the wall. Both had one light switch which controlled the main and side lights of the room, so after the kids had gone to sleep you couldn`t read with reduced lighting. The grassed areas of the car park appeared to be a dogs toilet. Not the best Etap but a handy one!

I found the hotel easily. The car park was quite large and secure. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately there were no lights in the corridor outside my room so it was very difficult to see to key in the code. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Great for an overnight stay when traveling. Easy to get to and the Relais Routiers restaurant nearby is very good. Rooms clean and with all needed amenities. Breakfast table kept well stocked all the time.

Good value for money and only things I would like are extra pillows and shower gel. Close to the motorway and the Courtpaille nearby serves great meals. Breakfast was fine and coffee good an hot. Nice fresh food.

We would comment that the room we were allotted had a serious odour problem. The wc, shower and basin were emitting a very pungent smell, when we complained to the staff we were told there was not another room available and someone came to the room with an air freshener to try to eliminate the odour. We were very worried that there was a serious stagnant water problem and this was possibly a health hazard.Also when we use your on-line booking service we find it very annoying that we do not have a choice to book a non-smoking room on the ground floor level. Over the last couple of years we have been put in a room on the 1st or 2nd floor because of this we are considering finding alternative accommodation for our journeys.In the past we have always found the Etap hotels a very useful facility and suited our purpose. What a shame !
