I felt that the hotel did not meet the expectations that were created from the description of your hotel, even though that was minimal. I would not stay at the formule 1 hotel again, nor would I recommend it to any of my friends. Also I found that the noise complaint about other customers that I made earlier on in the night was not followed up as I was woken numerous times throughout the night. As a paying customer, I would have expected it to be courtious for it to at least be taken seriously, whether they payed attention or not.

"Cheap and cheerful"

No kettle in the room, and not ensuite. Also had to pay to park. Otherwise room was very basic but comfortable and adequate, and located very close to Liverpool centre and the river front.

"Rowdy!!"

A Typical F1, but unfortunately the amount of drunk shouting happening all night outside my room. I did not get any sleep, and although i asked the receptino to askt hem to quiet down, the noise continued!!

"Good for one night!"

15th April 2012

Wanted three rooms in Ibis hotel next door but could only get two. So to stay near the rest of my friends I got one in formule 1. Communal showers, noisy late at night and early morning, the bed sheets were not clean and there was no towel. Apart from that, good value for money.

"It was an experience..."

The hotel would have been good value for money had I not had to pay for a three bed room when there was only one of me. I think that larger towels could have been provided given that the showers were communal and i expected them to be provided as a standard facility. However only hand towels were provided.The hotel was home to lots of drunk people, so I was continually woken during the night. And the toilets were shared. it was an interesting task trying to relieve myself without sitting or standing in somebody else's pee. The toilets definitely need to be cleaned more regularly. I would recommend the hotel to my friend after pointing out the lack f towels and hair dryer. I would also advise that they invest n a bed pan and have a poo before arriving at the hotel.

"Cheap n Clean"

I have stayed here a few times over the past few years, and as long as you arnt on the ground floor which seems to be stag and hen party central, this hotel is spot on, for location and price. car park is only £3 per night and right outside the door. walkign distance to everything inc Martthew Street.

"cheap, cheerful but pongy loos!"

Very basic but clean hotel. Bedding spotless and comfy but the shared loos leave a bit to be desired, France all over!! Good location and a very cheap option. Felt safe enough but lots of 'workies' so don't venture down to the loos alone.

"If you value any quality whatsoever"

don't stay here. As I was travelling on my own, and can 'ruck' with most people, I booked this very cheap 'hotel' early, as somewhere just to put my head down. My wife decided to join me on the trip, and i tried upgrade to the Ibis next door (same reception) but it was full.. I tried various other hotels but the prices were now out of my meagre monetary reach. The self cleaning, communal toilets were at the end of a block of rooms. The carpets throughout are tired as are the rooms. The other (foreign) guests staying at the hotel were noisy throughout the entire night and my wife would not go to the communal toilets at the end knowing these noisy drunk people were there. She would not let me leave the room to have 'words' . We arrived in the afternoon and decided not to return until we needed to get some sleep

"Another Great Stay at Formule One"

I have stayed at Formule One on three occasions now and would stay there again, so that really says it all. If you are looking for a clean, cheap accommodation in Liverpool city centre, look no further. And they make nice food and affordable drinks at the bar/restaurant, which is served 24/7!

"Formula One Hotel"

Apart from the small room and no toilet in the room i can say that this hotel is great for falling into after a night out. Should you be spending a lot of time in the room then this not ideal. There is a lot of noise in the corridors at night and with the smoking facilities being at the front door, there is always sounds coming from somewhere.Hey dont fool yourself , this is cheap accom in a great location so dont expect too much.Overall i would recommend this hotel as a good place to throw yer bags and hit the town.james

"Good value for a short stay"

Good location close to waterfront and downtown attractions - it's a good place to stay for a one night 'in-transit' stopover.The staff were friendly and helpful; the rooms and facilities were clean and maintained although the dryer in one of the showers didn't work others were available; as this was a midweek stay a busy weekend may be a different situation.Only other problem was that the Formule1 web site did not list this hotel!!

"Ok for those not spending time in their room."

We stayed with some friends, and whilst our room was reasonable theirs smelt of vomit and had many unpleasant stains on the carpet. The toilets, bar one, were smelly too :( The bedding was clean, but only one plug was available so charging our phones could only be done one at a time.

"Perfectly adequate"

We went to the boxing and stayed over the road. It was perfectly located for the city centre and Echo Arena. It was basic but clean. What else do you expect for budget accommodation! No problems with it and would stay again.

"The day staff were great - the night staff quite rude"

Staff, especially one young manager during the day was so helpful with problems we had with the electricity supply in our room. He also was quick on the mark to investigate toilets and showers that weren't working properly. I just wish I could remember his name.The night staff on reception were rather rude and dismissive.Nevertheless, because of this young man - and the fabulous location, I would indeed recommend this hotel.

"Brown trip to UK"

The price was right as well as the location. There were some unsavory characters that offered drugs to my children in front of me! They turned out to be harmless but it was uncomfortable. The staff was great and the place was really clean. I would go again, and keep the doors shut to our rooms.

"Served it's purpose"

I experienced a satisfactory one night stay at the Formule 1 hotel in Liverpool city centre. The room was clean and free from smells with a fairly comfortable bed on which to sleep. I felt safe and secure and was entirely satisfied with the whole experience. I would chose to stay here again as for the price I paid it was very good value.

"Great value at a brillant location"

If you want a cheap no frills accomodation then this is the place for you. Ideally situated near the waterfront and Liverpool 1. Not too far from the nearest train station. if you have not been to Liverpool then it is worth a visit.

"Bad choice"

Low class accomodation mattress old noisey and very uncomfortable,but the sheets were clean, carpet had stains all over the fire was smashed in but the worst thing that greeted us was a used syringe. also very noisey because of the kind of people who use this hotel

stayed in formule 1 while attending a liverpool football match, excellent location for local busses to and from airport and to and from anfield pitch. rooms very basic but thats all we wanted for the few hours we stayed in it. basic but value for money.
