ibis Hull: 1.0 out of 5 stars "We do not recommend this at all"

21st May 2012, RKhamb, London, United Kingdom

The price is not much different to Permier Inn - Yet this place was like going into Council estate. Filthy, smoke smell. They have no parking and can only park on double yellow lines outside to drop the luggage for 5 mins. So in 5 mins you have to check in, get your luggage out, go up to your room and drop your luggage and back downstairs and to your car! Then add £5.00 for parking about 10 min walk away into the shopping centre car park. Shocking place.

ibis Hull: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Value for money"

13th April 2012, Mortissia71, London, United Kingdom

Very central location. Helpful, friendly, cheery staff. Brilliant value for money. If you want luxury this isn't for you, but if you want a clean, comfortable, affordable base with everything on your doorstep then you'd be hard pushed to find another close in comparison. An enjoyable stay. This hotel comes highly recommended.

ibis Hull: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Of Surprisingly Good Standard"

15th March 2012, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Definitely value for money. The lack of parking at the hotel is the only disadvantage. The proximity to the train station is a good thing. We would certainly stay there again.

ibis Hull: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Hotel in Hull"

6th March 2012, Bedford, United Kingdom

The hotel is what you pay for. A very basic room with basic furniture. The bed was very uncomfortable on a thin matress but the room was warm and clean. There was no hairdryer (missing) so on request I was provided one - which did not work! There was wifi (not checked) , tv and kettle. All the basics were there. The staff were friendly and helpful. As a cheap hotel it is ok.

ibis Hull: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Standard Maintained"

26th January 2012, Northstarlight, Shipley Wesy Yorkshire

Having stayed in numerous Ibis hotels both in the UK and abroad, I can testify that they are not identical either in standard of service or facilities, despite the Accor publicity claims. I would say that Ibis Hull does to my judgement make a real effort to covnform to the standards claimed.Location is excellent, a couple of hundred metres along the A1079 to Beverley, from the roundabout on the main M62/A63 East-West route. Should your map or SatNav show otherwise, it si exactly on the corner of the A1079 and Osbourne Street. There is a loading/unloading bay on the main road, but no on-site long-stay parking. - for this reception provide directions, but if you wish to avoid the £5/night charge, there is free parking on streets within a 10-minute walk if you're prepared to explore. The central location puts you within 5 minutes of the main shopping and tourist locations, and vast selection of friendly cityy pubs etc.Reception is friendly and helpful, and I never experienced any delay in staff making themselves available. The front lounge/dining area looks out over the main road.Rooms appear to be to the latest Ibis spec, with generously spacious showers, plenty of power points and internet connection. My room was serviced efficiently each day, and towels changed even when I didn't request it.My only criticism would be the limited range of digital TV and Radio Channels available - Radio 3,4 and Classic FM would be welcome, and Euronews and a sport channel.Since it's in the Uk, tea making facilities are available.

ibis Hull: 5.0 out of 5 stars "Surprised"

3rd September 2011, Norwich

Value for money hotel, do not expect all the frills, but great staff good location and simple but clean rooms. Only downside no parking at hotel but can get close due to deal with local multi-storey. Very close to city centre but amazingly quiet.

ibis Hull: 3.0 out of 5 stars "Ibis Hull"

27th August 2011, coventry

Firstly the carparking,or what car park, there isn't one,you have to park in a shopping centre car park at £5.00 a night, which this doesn't mention on the web site. Do not use if you are disabled as it's too far to walk. The service and food were all really very good. The rooms were basic but everything you needed, apart from internet, which you can't get unless you pay £9.99 for 24 hrs.which they also don't mention. We were right on the main road so the traffic noise was non stop, day and night.I would use an Ibis again but not this one.

ibis Hull: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Clean, Good reception, and very noisy during the night"

7th August 2011, Moissac

Very noisy hostel. You will hear quite easily people speaking loudly in the corridor, until 3-4 am.In addition, if you have the misfortune to be surround by rude people, you can hear door slamed, with blows on the doors.

ibis Hull: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Good, reliable budget hotel"

5th August 2011

I Stayed on a summer saver rate so the price was good, there was also a discount for pre booking brakfst. There is easy access to city centre for shops and bars/restaurants and other nightlife.Only drawback was no on site car park.

19th May 2011, London

Very warm and friendly staff . Karen and Michelle are always will ing to assist with a very warm smile.I forgot the name of the lady at the reception when we checked in on the 13th of May and I find her too, to be very proffesional and very efficient. When you see such wonderful people, the tiredness from the long journey just vanishes.Keep employing good staff like the ones i mentioned.Best RgdsCpt Ranja

ibis Hull: 3.0 out of 5 stars "The noise"

5th May 2011, Horley

The lounge area is extremely small.Good point is dogs are accepted (come on British hotels)Hotel extremely hot (could save a fortune in energy bills). The room was extremely hot. Appeared to have cooling as well as heating but cooling not operational. So open the window and there was the problem.....equipment on the roof continually cutting in and out. Problems with sleeping because too hot, problems sleeping because of the open window and noise

ibis Hull: 4.0 out of 5 stars "Very Good Value for Money"

3rd May 2011, Liverpool

The hotel is centrally located and easy to find, and with nice, clean and comfortable rooms. The ensuite was very comfortable too but lacked shampoo and hair dryers. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of hot and cold food items.Parking was within a bit of a walking distance.

ibis Hull: 4.0 out of 5 stars "A nice hotel but no parking."

2nd May 2011, Faversham

I have stayed at the Ibis several times and am quite happy with the rooms; the staff are very helpful too. However, in the past I travelled by train and this time I took the car. The hotel has no parking and you have to stop in the layby (double yellow lined) outside and go into the hotel to collect a voucher which entitles you to reduced rate overnight parking in a nearby multistorey carpark. This is pretty awkward, and the reduced rate is £5 a night so you have to add this to the cost of your hotel stay. And of course you have to walk to and from the car park - not all that far, but would be no fun in the rain.
