Mercure Belo Horizonte Minascentro Hotel: 4.0 out of 5 stars "GREAT HOTEL, BAD PARKING PERSONEL"

1st August 2012, algazio, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Great hotel, great hotel manager (FLAVIO). Had problems with the PARKING FACILITY at the hotel. My baby spilled milk on my car mat and they offered to wash it at the check in. Just realized the mat was not in the car 736km away. Called the hotel to hold the mat. Came back 3 days later to find a flthy, very dirty car mat with white paint on it. Manager of the parking facility told me I could wash it myself. HOTEL MANAGER MADE THEM WASH IT. STILL DIDN'T REMOVE THE PAINT STAINS.

Mercure Belo Horizonte Minascentro Hotel: 2.0 out of 5 stars "Not coming back, this is not Mercure as I know it"

31st July 2012, Vanja R, Zagreb, Croatia

Staying for business in BH, there is not so many opportunities in the city center. Mercure Minas Centro is perfect location and that's it. Rooms are apartment s with two bedrooms, kitchen, living room and two bathrooms. Breakfast is average, Wi-Fi available. That was good part. Now the reality.Rooms are dirty, floor towel in the bathroom was not changed during our stay in both bathrooms. In one bathroom shower cabin had a leakage so the whole bathroom was flooded, in the other on toilet was not working properly and whole night there was noisy sound coming from the pipes. Our room was made up in afternoon, after p.m., the first day only upon request. One day the towels were not replaced, in fact they took the old ones but did not bring new ones. Mini bar was re-filled upon request on the first day, second day in the evening. Wi-Fi was unreliable, not working all the time. At breakfast, food was correct, but always something was missing, or the fruit plates were empty, or there was no glass for juice, or there was no small cups for coffee and similar. At reception it is hard to find English speaking person, at check in it was OK, but they did not have our reservation in the system, luckily we had print out (I have checked, it was OK on my Accor account). Check out was slow and long, printing of invoice lasted ten minutes. Then we were looking everywhere to find someone to open the garage at 6 in the morning. All in all, far bellow minimum standard of Accor group. As I go often to BH, this hotel will not see me again. Try Mercure Lourdes, this is much better option, Mercure expected standard.

Mercure Belo Horizonte Minascentro Hotel: 1.0 out of 5 stars "MERCURE MINAS CENTRO"

20th May 2011, Miami

Definitely not a good hotel for price/quality ratio and located in a very bad area. Service is questionable. At night is not a good location to walk by or get out. Apartments are kind of old but decently clean. Surrounding buildings interfere with quiet stay since televisions and stereos can be of dwellers can be heard all night long. Request for taxi service arranged the night before was not properly handled.
