"Very well located with a nice view from the pool in rooftop"

The hotel is in the nice and quiet neighborhood Leblon. The hotel is ok, the elevators are pretty slow, and most of the time you get the service elevator, which doesn't have air conditioning or even a fan, be ready to melt. The room is like all the other mercure room, with mini-kitchen and living room. The air conditioning is pretty noisy, but if you are very tired, you get used. If you are looking for cheap but good food, don't go to the beach, just walk toward the hotel, they have really nice small bars with home made style food.

Over priced and need refurbishment ASAPI went to Rio on a business trip, doing sites inspection in several hotels and flats around the city and in the overall I was disappointed with the infrastructure of several of them.I was told before I go that accommodation price in Rio was all about location, because when it comes to hotel rooms the quality is very poor even though you are paying a premium price.So I did not create any expectation, I thought upon my arrival nothing would surprise me as knew the situation of the local market, but MERCURE LEBLON was worse them I could ever expect!!! I do not understand how they can keep a Mercure flag!!The lifts were under refurbishment, what is fair enough as it was needed but the hotel did not make any effort to make it looks less messy.Every morning I was waiting for over 10 minutes to get down to the reception until I decided to go by stairs from the 8th floor.My room had broken furniture, the bathroom floor and shower had black mould, it was disgusting!!!The linen was so worn, with hole on it. You could see that the hotel linen hasn’t been renewed for the past 10 years. Despite that, using an old linen was not the worse, the worse were finding hairs... long hairs intertwined in the linen.The breakfast was very poor and the waiter’s service was horrible and disrespectful!I was staying in a double room paying BRL 535.75/ night and my colleague on a single BRL 421.00/night .It is not cheap!!! Booking an Accor product at that price the minimum you could expect is cleanness and a good service!I will definitely not recommend anyone to stay at that hotel and in addition the property is out of my company’s portfolio...If someone asked if there were any good things to say about it, I would be honest.... the location is good and the sizes of the apartment too. That’s all!

Hotel arrange driver to collect us at airport. Suite was good with kitchen, dining area & lounge. Bed was HUGE, Does not provide tea or coffee facilities. Has free Wi-Fi. Some toiletries were lacking. Restaurant was good and meals good value.

Good location, good price. Hotel has good services. if you looking for a place with gym, this is not the right hotel, but you have beach close by and you can exercise yourself there. I recommend this hotel.
"Bad Room service"

I had tried to ask for a room service twice, on two consecutive days and the service was awful. The attendant was not clear of what is available, the menu had a lot of option ,but she you call to request an item, the kitchen said they did not have. The hotel has good location, great attendant at the reception, very well clean and good installation, except for the room service that need to be improved.

The hotel is old but in a great location and superb view from the roof. The room is big but needs some maintainance. We spent 6 nights there and have a terrible pain in the back as the double bed and the sleeping couch are terrible, no conditions to sleep there. Actually, I really hurt my back, asked for other mattress and there was no one, the reception told me all the rooms are standard. Unfortunately, because of the mattress, I had no plans to stay at the hotel again and don´t recommend it.

The rooms are large and comfortable, a little bit old, but still working.The complete kitchen makes the difference.The options for meal in the room are not good, but you can always ask for delivery in a good restaurant around.
