"Great time"

I just booked for one night to enjoy a special occasion with my wife. The room was perfect, although the bathroom could have more amenities. The restaurant served a great breakfast, and we had a great time there.

Excellent location; comfortable accommodation (excellent shower!). We didn't have breakfast at the hotel; there are local padarias that offer very good fare and value. Taxis readily available for trips to other parts of the city. We would stay here again.

I stayed twice in 2 weeks - first in Standard then Superior room - the latter is worth the extra. Whole hotel is a bit tired. Missing many business class details that we now expect: coffee making facilities, full drinks range in mini bar, adequate number of power outlets near desk, cables network option (wireless often poor), ironing board and iron, decent bar. However, great showers, beds, well cleaned rooms, friendly and helpful staff, OK food, reasonable "safe" neighbourhood, walking distance to shopping district. Would stay there again, but not until I have really shopped around.

As a repeat guests to this hotel, we had no surprises and we had an excellent stay. I was also lucky to book well in advance and benefit from a promotional weekend rate which made this stay unbeatable value for money. The breakfast/dining area and lobby entry areas have been nicely renovated since our last stay. Overall, this hotel is well maintained. Excellent location. Staff at the desk are friendly and speak good English. Check-in and check-out processes were quick and well organized.
"Courteous and convenient"

I arrived late and tired and found the hotel staff courteous, organised and efficent. Sleep in a well-appointed room (numbered over 1000, but curiously on the 9th floor) was followed by a pleasant breakfast (inc in the tariff) in the bright and spacious restaurant on the ground floor - a wide array of goodies inc uniquely Brazilian cakes and pastries.

Excellent hotel in Jardins - Sao Paulo's poshest neighborhood, clean and nice. Daytime there are English-speaking staff, nighttime not so much. Everybody was really enthusiastic and helpful. Unexpectedly nice choice of reasonably priced wines on the list. Mattress was not comfortable enough, we turned it around and it was fine then.
"Terrible service"

It took me almost 40 minutes to be able to checkin and almost 2 HOURS to checkout. There was only 1 front desk person to help all the guests, and the hotel seemed to be fully booked. The staff was very rude, there weren't enough tables for breakfast and nobody seemed to care or even tryed to help. The location is good, but there are MANY other options with even better location for the same price.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mercure Jardins hotel - great service, great staff, and an ideal location - close to Av. Paulista as well as the best shopping in Brazil. Great restaurants close by, and easy walk to the Metro station. I would definitely stay here again when coming back to Sao Paulo!
