"Location and price"

This hotel is fantastically situated if you are one of the many people that come to Carlisle for the night life. You could not get a better location for spilling straight into the action. Train station is just around the corner, plenty of fast food joints and restaurants nearby too.

"Overnight stay"

I quite often use Ibis Hotels when away on business, and find them to be very good so booked this one in Carlisle for an overnight stay when going on holiday. It is very central, but unfortunatelty from our point of view, is neighbour to a noisy night club. Our room looked right onto the club, and there was shouting, yelling and genral raucous behaviour well into the early hours.In the room, there was a large area of peeled wallpaper but apart from that the room was fine.The breakfast , however, was probably one of the worst I have encountered and was certainly not worth £7.50. The bacon, scrambled egg and sausage had all been sitting congealing and going hard for some time and the sauages looked particularly disgusting. I thought I would give it a try but gave up after a couple of mouthfulls. Having said all that, the staff were friendly and for someone going to central Carlisle for a night out, the hotel would be fine. It's close to bars and restaurants and also the railway startion is nearby. Make sure to go to Wetherspoons across the road for your breakfast - at about half the price.

"The Ibis hotel in Carlisle, Cumbria"

I worked in Carlisle for three months between December 2011 and March 2012. I found the Ibis to be well located in the centre of carlisle, it had free parking, and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. It was very good value, especially if you booked in advance on line. Ibis is a chain I would recommend, I have stayed in several, and when you are travelling on business, it is nice to have that familiarity. I occasionally had the breakfast which was very nice but usually could not spare the time. I did not eat in the restaurant in the evening as I tended to eat elsewhere in the town.

"Ibis, Carlisle"

The Ibis in Carlisle is in excellent location. Go out the front door and you are right in the middle of the pubs and clubs and the cinema. Turn right and walk for a couple of minutes and you are in the town centre, with good shops. The staff at the Ibis are really friendly and helpful. Only downside was the price of breakfast, did not take this time as it is a bit expensive considering the great pub breakfast offers, across from hotel. Had breakfast the last stay and it was a bit of a letdown, not very fresh or tasty.

"Carlisle Visit"

Really enjoyed the stay in the Ibis. In the centre of all the entertainment, pubs,cinema & food. This is the second time to stay in this Hotel, good parking and all the staff were very good. Many thanks to them for my enjoyable stay.

"Good Value in Carlisle"

Fantastic location, good staff and a great room, only thing was about 02.00 AM a lot of noise from the main street, but my room was at the front of the hotel. Good breakfast was served but you have to pay extra for this, but was worth the money. I would stay here again.

"Good value - good service"

I have stayed at the Ibis in Carlisle many times - and I keep going back so it must be good. Nice clean, comfortable rooms, decent bathrooms, lovely staff. Well worth staying if you need to be in Carlisle.

"New years Eve at the IBIS Carlise"

OK not a bad stay but would advise to take printed copy of reservation with proof of payment. It doe's say when booking but clearly a saved email on your smart phone is not proof enough. We had to argue the toss for 10 minutes while checking in that we had paid in advance. Excellent value considering premium night in town. Rooms l could do with revamp due to obvious heavy usage.

Third time to stay at this hotel, would definately recommend it to anyone.Accomodation was clean, staff were extremely helpfull and polite.Certainly will be returning to use this hotel next time I visit CarlislePat

convenient location in city center but noisy from bars, clubs and public car park at weekend. Avoid cheap and greasy breakfast. Service in breakfast room was poor. Rates are cheap but you get only what you pay for.

We have stayed many times in this hotel and have always been satisfied with the service. The hotel is in a perfect location if you are looking for a good night out on the town. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the doorstep.Only drawback to being close to the nightlife is you do get some late night noise!Good value for money.
