The Hotel has great, spacious rooms, clean and with a fantastic balcony. Location if perfect for walking to the beach and around are many places like coffees and restaurants. Helpful and nice service, it was another of many my staying in Gdansk and I’ll be back there for sure!

Great staff, room, and location

The hotel upgraded my room free of charge, and the staff was very helpful throughout the trip.

Average hotel. Both myself and husband had treatments in the spa. My half an hour massage was good but my husband said his hour long sports massage was poor. My facial was also below average. Bedrooms were clean but beds very hard. It's a pity that you have to pay for the use of a robe and walk through the lobby area to get to pool. Pool was very busy throughout our entire stay. The bar/restaurant is quite uninviting. Bad drain smell upon entering, hence why we didn't eat there. Reception staff were nice and helpful, as were all of the other hotel staff.

Great relax zone (swimming pool, 3 saunas and a gym). Super friendly and smiling staff. Very clean. Water dispensers available everywhere (but the gym, I would appreciate a water dispenser in the gym).

Szanowny Panie Filipie, bardzo dziękujemy za tak wysoką ocenę i docenienie hotelu Mercure Gdańsk Posejdon. Mamy nadzieję do zobaczenia w przyszłości! Z pozdrowieniami, Zespół Mercure Gdańsk Posejdon

Awful materace and no response from reception on my issue

Hi, Hotel #Mercure Gdansk Posejdon! I was in your hotel for 5 days, and as of day 1 I felt that my materace was not good. By 'good' I mean that it felt like the cheapest materace I could have on e-bay form China, that was used for past 5-10 years and never changed. The problem, is that I had 2 beds in my room, and both had the same materace problem. When I came to the reception with request to change the room with a different materace, they say nothing what they can do, all materaces are the sam everywhere, and similar kind of words. I do not believe that this is the case here, because my parents have the same business as you do for a bit smaller scale, and I know that you tend to change materace and other type of furniture in the room depending on state of use. In one room there can be 4 grown-ups, in other 4 kids. Both of them have the same type of room, but will use its resource faster. 2nd point that I did not like, is loud kids in the corridore during quite hours. Actually not during quite time, but as well in the morning and during the day. I heard in my room with closed door whenever anyone was opening their room, or was talking, or running, or walking - any kind of action was heard in my room, despite the fact that I closed my door. When I was booking in the first place, it was written that my room is with sound-proof door and walls, however this is not completely true. 3rd point, is that during my 2nd night there was weird sound that woke up me and my wife in the middle of the night. I must admit that it was only once, and our guess is that it was a heating battery which started to fill up with water (heating season has just started), but no action was taken here from Mercury. After I said about it on the reception, nobody ever came to our room to check if anything could be done. In the reception it was said 'we checked on our side, and everything is fine'. But let's be honest, not only bad, but good things also happened to us: Food during the breakfast was good. I must admit that good variety of cheese, fish, bread and sausages - that is something you would expect in Gdansk. Food in the restaurant had a good presentation, but only presentation. Quality of it for 3 days straight could be better. I thought only I had a problem with it, but my wife and my mom had the same issue these days. When we asked for a crib, it was given the same day. However, the Materace was folding when the small one lay into it (Arthur is 6m old). Which means not only on usual beds Materace need a change, but in the crib as well. We have been to SPA as well. Towels were given to us with exchange for vouchers, clean, dry. All good here. However, in the spa zone, where’re people chilling next to the pool, ladders to the pool felt like will drop into the water together with me. Hard but manageable. Park zone around the hotel was exceptional and quiet. And clean as well. In the hotel we also used a credit system for payment, but it was so unuseful that I would rather pay for food for example every single time. With credit however it was taking 5-7 min every time until staff checks if I have it paid on my account, then with a bill they were asking for my signature every time. Just imagine loosing this much time every time you want to eat. Price was around 400 PLN per day in November in the hotel. To sum up, I would not recommend this hotel in Gdansk if you travel there and definitely would not come back here again. Hotel #Mercury Gdańsk Posejdon, if you have other opinion, I am happy to hear you.
