"Hotel Ibis Sczeczin"

This hotel was cheap & easy to book online. The staff were excellent with good English language skills. The food was good and the rooms tidy and cleaned every day. The location was about a 20 min walk from the new shopping centre and only 3-5 mins from well known fast food outlets and shops / money exchange - train station was only 5 min walk away with good cheap bus links to Berlin and Sczeczin airports (Follow Me).Negatives were too thin matress with lack of support felt like sleeping on the floor and for us at times only English tv channels were news channels. The shower cubicle needed a rubber mat as very slippery when used.

All the service provided by the hotel was good, except for 1 unfortunate matter. I.e. in the Toilet next to the restaurant, a time switch switched off the lights in both the ladies and the gents toilets before one had finished using the toilet. This meant that one had to addjust one's dress in total darkness and then grope one's way along strange rooms and passageways to again reach lighting.

Very great hotel! I went three times!The room was clean. People are smiling.Don't hesitate to go to this hotel in Centrum of Szczecin!!! Near you have the castle, the churches, the railway station, shops, pozsta!

Up to the usual IBIS standard, near the centre of the city. We had some difficulty finding it, because our satnav did not work in Poland but did eventually with the helkp of the diagram in the IBIS book. The breakfast provision was up to standard and the restaurant was a useful addition for someone spending only one night in the city before travelling on (to Gdansk)

One member of the group was accused of not paying at the bar and it took a lot of arguing to get the staff to remember the transaction.Asked to pay on arrival in spite of pre-booking. Paid in cash but no receipt offered; what if I had been accused later of non-payment?! Same of return trip.Tiny pillows gave me a stiff neck.Shower head loose, and kept falling on floor, though soap dispenser and quality was good.Unfriendly staff ( too intent of talking to each other instead od serving customer) caused us to eat out (which we actually enjoyed a lot, so a good outcome for us).Beware that you are charged more for breakfast if you do not book it before; not indicated on any price list.

The hotel offered an unstinted Continental breafkfast for 28 Zlotys. Very filling but I would have preferred a cooked English breakfast. Nevertheless there was food for all tastes, and lots of it.The hotel room did not have fully functioning heating. The thermostat in the room was set to 30 deg C by the previous occupant, but it was still a bit chilly.The hotel offered a room heater under its 15 minute satisfaction rule.The staff were very friendly and had a "can-do" approach to queries.

Clean room, clean hotel. Noisy people were taken care of without needing to complain. Nice simple breakfast. Easy parking below the hotel!
