"Excellent value for money"

Through my accor membership I got a 50% discount for this hotel but I would have stayed here for the normal price. The best Mercure hotel I have stayed at. The only problem was finding it as it is part of a shopping centre complex.

We stayed at Hotel Mercure Porto Gaia for one night.We had booked 3 rooms through the internet at very competitve prices (-60% compared to standard prices) and did not regret our choice.The hotel is a short stroll to the city center (6€ by cab' / 10'), the rooms are quiet (4th floor), clean and the service is excellent. Friendly people at reception and at the restaurant made our stay enjoyable.Definitely an excellent choice for travelers in Porto.

Great Hotel, but you need a car to get about. The shopping centre near by is also good for eating as has a wide range of food outlets

We were very pleased with the quality of the hotel and the price we paid. Thanks very much! The staff were friendly, and the location to the mall next door turned out to be excellent. Once we figured out the buses to get to town, (which took a little time), all worked very well. Recommend the reception staff be more knowledgeable on this point, to assist guests wgho want to take full advantange of the excellent Porto transit and bus system. All in all, a great stay in a great hotel and a great city. Cheers, Rob Henry
