Abut my fifth stay in this Ibis, about 10 minutes walk from the ain station, so a superb "in transit" place to stay. Had a street side room this time but not much traffic so not a problem. Always get a nice welcome back
We've spent 2 nights at the hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze. The room was clean, the bed is really comfortable! We enjoyed the AC and slept easily even in the heatwave. Do not expect a panoramic view, but the hotel is well-located and a great value for money. The only shortcoming is that the room is not equipped with a fridge or lockers- but otherwise our time spent there was great. Győr is a beautiful city with a lot to offer, and this hotel is a nice choice for a few days. Would recommend it to others.

If you want to stay close to the center of the city, at a cheap rate, - and still be treated well, - this is the place... Very friendly staff and a nice bar.. The rooms were clean and the bed was simply too good. This is absolutely a hotel to recommend when staying in Györ....
Good location, avearge services and price. Close to all rekevant places to visit. Private garage, but difficult parking due to very narrow parking places. Slow moving staff - time has really no value for them- maybe they think they will live forever, so why to hurry!
An excellent location for an overnight stop with all the facilities and amenities you will need. Comfortable room and bed. A word of caution though, we found the method of parking in the underground carpark quite difficult. The car has to mount a steep metal ramp and rest with the front wheel over a retaining hump.
very well located nice hotel, every destination within walk distance, Stuff is very prompt and problem solving; Only imperfection was the breakfast where pastries was not fresh but from previous day..

We visit this hotel and 2 couples. I have booked two rooms in this hotel. I am gold member of their loyalty program so I can use special benefits from staying in their hotels. But this hotel is only problem maker. The first was check-in 25 minutes during. The rooms were pre paid but at the reception we were asked for deposit for city tax. So I leave for our room 1000HUF (3,50€), after check in the second room we were asked for deposit on level 200HUF (0,7€) for 4th accommodate person, gold members are usually not paid person . Story follow up with welcome drink as gold member I have guaranteed welcome drink, but if I order 2 rooms and paid this two room for 4 person I have only welcome drink for me, so for 1 person. The story why only for my room was: the second room is for another person, it is logical that the same time I cannot sleep in 2 rooms, I told that but loyalty program guarantee the benefits up to for 2 room if were booked by myself. It was. So next reason why not, the second one did be booked via Accor hotels page directly. Surprise in bar at night your card valid only for you and not for second accommodate person in your room. The first hotel which I visit in Germany, Hungary and Czech Republic has this story. It was the 3rd joke, and the last 4th joke was the hotel DON’T PROVIDE invoice if you book and prepaid the room via business partners like booking.com and so on. Again the fist hotel applied this special story and joking. From my point of view, never more stay at this hotel. If you are on business trip, don’t book this hotel via hotel reservation provider. And the last comment from my point of view in the room wast the dust in the TV, in the bathroom on the hairdryer.

Reflecting the issues you raised I would like to inform you about the followings: According to the policy of our company we have to ask guarantee of payment of all clients before check- in. This is the reason why the reception clerk has asked you to give a guarantee or pay the local tax, which was not prepaid in any rooms. Also I would like to inform you that as my deputy manager told you on phone, the room’s invoice of the second room ( booked on different name on an other internet site ) you should get, or you should have got from the agency where you paid the service. Or the person who booked and paid the amount. In any case we can give an invoice only for services which is paid on the spot or by accorhotels.com. As you paid your room charge through our website for you, you have got your invoice from our company accordingly. As the second room was paid on other site, we can not give you an invoice about that payment. Regarding the welcome drink voucher issue, I would like to kindly inform you that the other couple did not get any voucher, as their booking for the other room was made on a different site and specially on a different name. As you are a registred very important member of the LeClub programme, of course you have got your free drink voucher. The offer is specific for Ibis, but it is one of the best solution for the town. It is good for a calm and nice weekend, or for pass away from the east to west or reverse. It is clean, relaxed, and easy to go down town.
The hotel is not so far from the train station. The staff are friendly and speak English very well. The breakfast and the room were good. The speed of the WiFi was good. It was a good choice to stay in Gyor.
We used this hotel for a stopover as we were travelling from England to Romania. We liked the fact that there was secure parking. The staff were efficient and helpful. The room was of a very good standard. We could not understand, however, why we had to pay 13Euros for tax and parking which was refunded to us and then claimed back! Surely this anomoly with red tape could be eliminated.
Ibis Gyor is situated in the city center, easy to find from all directions. The beautiful center of the town is only a 10min walk away. The hotel is as much Ibis as can be: think of this branch on the Accor tree and you'll know what to expect. The recent refurbishment (including the beds!) is a relief. Check-in in the evening was pretty efficient, in one of our rooms we did not find any towels. Reception provided a set of 2 towels. On all of my stays in this hotel, the extremely slow check-out process keeps annoying me. This time, the reception staff of 2 wasn't able to charge my credit card (that had been used for deposit the night before) with the parking fee and local taxes. It took them more than 20 minutes to complete the procedure - but for a part of the transaction I never received a bill (though I received 6A4 forms with pro forma bills and all...). When I shared my feedback, one receptionist started blaming the Accor computer system, the other stated she was relatively new. People trying to check out next to me got charged with a 4eur local taxes (where they received a 3eur quote through the website) but were sent away without having to pay for 3x2 breakfasts as the receptionist had already closed the system... Some others behind us just decided not to wait and left the hotel just leaving their keys after 20 minutes+ in line.
